Watching people hyper scrutinize & demonize @MrsErikaKirk in the aftermath of her husband’s horrific assassination has been one of the most disheartening things I’ve witnessed in the last year.
What Erica says in this clip is a completely normal thing to say.
She was married to one of the most famous men in American public life. Expressing that she can’t even go to the grocery store without being reminded of her murdered husband should, by all accounts, garner sympathy and compassion.
And yet even expressing this completely normal sentiment is twisted to demonize & belittle the woman who lost the love of her life in 4k for the world to see.
Leveraging the real tragedy & grief of a widow for clicks & likes is pathetic. Anyone engaging in this behavior is worthy of scorn & contempt.
