Gloria Steinem was a stooge. She led feminism in a self-defeating neutered direction, think: "women in the military"; and the clue is that, immediately before she outed as a feminist, she worked for the CIA. She didnt deny this, she just said it was immaterial. But it wasn't. Ask the Redstockings collective.

The CIA and DNI knew that COVID likely had a lab origin by early 2020. The CIA and DNI chose to assist Fauci in defrauding two Presidents (Trump and Biden), three Congresses (116th, 117th, and 118th Congresses), and the public.
The latest Fauci docs illustrate something very disturbing about Congressional oversight of the intelligence community (or lack thereof). In July 2021, Fauci recommended that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) speak to his chosen clique of virologists, the authors of the infamous Proximal Origin paper, about the Wuhan wet market. In September 2021, Republicans on the House Intel Committee asked ODNI in a classified briefing which scientists it had spoken to. (Questions were already emerging about whether the Proximal Origin authors actually believed that the lab leak theory was a conspiracy theory or were only saying that to please Fauci.) ODNI REFUSED to answer. Now we know why!

People are messaging us on X's Chat. But I am locked out of it, hopefully temporarily. If it's urgent please email:jrlatham at bioscienceresource.org. Thanks!

"But to a virologist, and to anyone determined to solve the COVID-19 origin puzzle itself, it is their secret doubts, the sins against science, against conventional virology, and against logic, of the Slack group–who are experts after all–that reveal what we really needed to know. More than that, as an unexpected bonus, the Slack messages also expose the internal mechanics of their lab leak defense...." #OriginofCOVID independentsciencenews.org/v…

"The secret to understanding P323L, however, is that it replicates better than P323 at 33C, which is the normal temperature of the nose (Kim et al., 2023). Thus P323L adapts SARS-CoV-2 to the nose, which is the critical organ for transmission and infection. Thus, just like D614G, P323L is a transmission mutation..."

"“Nothing in biology”, wrote geneticist Theodosius Dobzhansky, “makes sense except in the light of evolution”. And because viruses evolve so rapidly, this axiom applies especially to them: nothing refutes a zoonotic hypothesis like adaptation by SARS-CoV-2 in all animals except humans.."

A gem from the @RandPaul Slack #OriginofCovid messages. Even they admitted to each other they were not neutral or open-minded.

1/5 Great piece by David Relman. He was part of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Biological Sciences Experts Group, and in the NASEM cooperation & intel game with China: "My own view, for what it is worth, is that a lab accident in Wuhan is the most plausible explanation for Covid.."

5/6 Some people prefer to make generic empty statements, that keep them in their comfort zone. I go back to the data, check every premise, line out the logic. Thanks to @jashkenas and @Ayjchan for the gift article link.
Alina Chan is back in Times Opinion’s pages today, laying out what it would take to make the world safe from the risky virus research that could trigger the next pandemic — and that may very well have started the last one. Check it out (gift link): nytimes.com/interactive/2026…
