"No other party remotely matches New Zealand First's record of looking after the elderly."
"Give us the tools and we’ll finish the job" 🤔 😉 😆 ⬇️

Loaded word game playing going on here, but first:
"will tax New Zealanders"
should read
"will tax *investors*"
Most NZers will not be paying this.
National keeps trying to imply these taxes will affect everyone. They will not ⬇️
Most of the rest is FUD & hype, not worth reading.

You met gang members ⬇️ Kerrin Leoni did the same. Interestingly, they said much the same thing to both of you.
Perhaps you and your party should grow up.

You keep repeating this lie.
There are two policies: Labour’s policy of hiring, with nurse numbers rising. That spills into the start of your term until you changed it to a lack hiring.
Whatever your ideas, you effected a hiring freeze. It’s there in the data! You can’t deny that

A lawyer needs to clarify, but others suggest new law isn’t needed for this, e.g., Crimes Act 1961, sections 195 & 195A ⬇️
Reactively calling out to do stuff already done is performative, and also unfortunately common in populist politics.

Populist – and trying to deflect from the health issues your policies created.
Also easier to knock down people, rather than address fundamentals that caused the issue. Other parties (e.g. Green Party*) focus on that. That’s longer-term, but preventative.

The '54' claim is from the last *2 years*.
It’s more easily seen if you look this graph ⬇️, which reveals two policies.
Labour’s hiring policy (rising numbers of nurses) continues until National’s policy kicks in, then the number of nurses flat-lines. 54 during that time.

Bear in mind Simeon Brown’s government allocated more from the NZ Super Fund to Elevate, $61M ⬇️

Slippery graph IMO: ending on a 'high' is a creative way to make a graph look as if it’s going up.
The last data point is likely the end-of-summer low of ED cases, with 2026 winter ED case surge not shown.
Kind answer: it’s flat, ED surges each winter, a holding pattern. More ⬇️

All stats worse from the start of National’s term until now ⬇️

Absolute lie. Your policy instituted a hiring freeze.
The ~2,000-odd "added" is Labour’s hiring policy spilling over into the first portion of your term.
National’s policy created the flatline seen for the rest of your term: a hiring freeze.
