You know once we sell, we'll be just like the rest of them. #bitcoin #hodl

💯🎯 The flip side to feeling all this is the regret at not having stacked harder. But the present is all we have, so carpe bitcoin.
There's a lot of Bitcoiners who still don't know what Number Go Up Technology feels like. When #Bitcoin enters price discovery mode your net worth will teleport to levels that once seemed like fantasy. You may think you enjoyed the +94% gains over the past year... But regaining previous levels is never as satisfying as blasting into new territory. $100K .. $250K ... $500K .... $750K ..... $1 Million Bitcoin can warp reality. You earn those moments by stacking through the bear market when everyone else is laughing at BTC. But truthfully a price pump is a double-edged sword. Daily new All-Time-Highs give you strong hits of fleeting dopamine. Dopamine that is hard to match until the next ATH. You'll waste tons of time watching charts, hoping to catch a glimpse of a new ATH. Sure it's exciting to watch the birth of a new global store of value... But it's pathetic how much time it can make you waste if you aren't careful (guilty 🙋) Plus you'll never look at earning money the same way. Imagine making your annual salary in a single day. Why trade your finite time for money if you can make multiples of that money without the drudgery? We aren't meant to sit idle all day, but you'll suddenly be faced with the challenge of finding something you want to work on. So with the halving approaching, it's time to mentally prepare for the next bull run. None of this is financial advice. But create a plan. 1. Figure out your financial goals. You might want to: Pay off all your debt, retire your spouse, explore the world in a van, backpack through Asia, buy a stone house on a Greek island, invest in high-growth startups, etc. You get to choose. But establish your true values now before the bull run tricks you into thinking you need a $20 million mansion, a fleet of supercars, and other things that won't bring true fulfillment. 2. Determine how much you need to make those goals a reality. Put a dollar figure on it. Know exactly how much your dream living situation costs, and then calculate the BTC price that would unlock that for you. Do that calculation with just a portion of your stack. If you sell everything, prepare to live with heavy amounts of regret. 3. Decide now if you're going to hodl through another cycle, or if you're going to trade some BTC for life gains. Bitcoin isn't true wealth. True wealth is your health, the time you spend with your family, the experiences you enjoy with friends, peace of mind for you and your loved ones, and daily purpose. Bitcoin can help you get those things. But it isn't those things. Bitcoin's value fluctuates in the short term. In the long term it's very likely to go up. If you sell, you need to be comfortable with the idea that you'll likely never regain the same level of BTC. Which means you should only trade your BTC for things that you can be sure you'll still value 10, 20, or 80 years from now. Figure all of this out now while things are still relatively calm and you can think clearly. When the bull run comes, stick to your plan without getting swept up in emotion. My goal this bull run is to be more present in the real world. The numbers on the screen will fluctuate. But time only moves in one direction.

I can irrationally hodl longer than Grayscale/FTX can remain solvent. #bitcoin

Of course we're all itching for number go up, but this provides just a little more time to stack at what will soon seem like ridiculously low prices
Bull markets truly begin when the last vestiges of the prior bear are disposed of. That’s what’s happening now with FTX and other bankruptcy liquidations.

And the real racism of our day is perpetuating and lionizing such a mindset.
A victimhood mindset is the ultimate high time preference behavior. You get short-term ego gratification in exchange for crushing your long-term potential.

The fact that I - a non-professional, non-institutional, left curve pleb - can understand this, and be in the minority, we are still early.

Good reminder for days like today
Digital money with no counterparty risk is easily one of the most significant human innovations of all time and yet still so few people understand that it exists or that it is even possible, let alone the impact it will eventually have on the world We are still so very early…

lol nicely done 👏
'Twas the night before ETF approval, with excitement in the air, Not a single altcoin mentioned, just BTC everywhere. The miners were hashing, under the moon's soft glow, But for one brief moment the SEC would soon steal the show. Bitcoiners, with their ideals, had visions so bright, Of a future where #Bitcoin shone the orange light. While I, with my node, and my faith in the code, Had settled my mind on the digital gold. When out on the blockchain there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my laptop to see what was the matter. Away to the exchange, I flew like a flash, Tore open the charts, and checked on my stash. The glow of the candles in my hopes of a rise, Gave a lustre of midday to my widening eyes, When what on my screen did so swiftly appear, But a bullish green candle, ‘twas finally here. With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick. More rapid than eagles, his coursers they came, He whistled, and shouted, and called them by name: "Now, Halving! Now, Hashrate! Now, Lightning and Layer-Two! On, Satoshi! On, Nakamoto! On, Blockchain and Mempool! To the top of the market! To the top of the buy-wall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!" As transactions that before the wild blockchain fly, Meet the node, and mount to the ledger in the sky; So up to the moon the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of Bitcoins, and St. Nick too. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof The prancing and pawing of each little proof. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Down the chimney St. Nick came with a bound. He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot; A bundle of Bitcoins he had flung on his back, He looked like a trader just opening his pack. His eyes—how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow. He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread. He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the wallets, then turned with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose. He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight— "Happy Bitcoin ETF to all, and to all a bullish night!"

What disappoints me so much? Is it that we collectively thought Steve Jobs was a great man, even when we knew he made billions off the backs of children? Or maybe it's that it feels like all our heroes are counterfeit.

The world itself's just one big hoax. Spamming each other with our burning commentary of bullshit masquerading as insight. Our social media faking as intimacy. Or is it that we voted for this? Not with our rigged elections, but with our things. Our property. Our money.

I'm not saying anything new. We all know why we do this. Not because Hunger Games books makes us happy. But because we wanna be sedated. Because it's painful not to pretend. Because we're cowards.

Wow, @gladstein just laid out on @PrestonPysh podcast THE most comprehensive backstory to the history of US dollar dominance I’ve heard in a long time. #Bitcoin is in the big leagues now.

Listening to @nayibbukele talk about Bitcoin in @nic_carter spaces last night and then hearing Elizabeth Warren et al. do their hatchet job today was like going from a wagyu steak at Barclay Prime to scooping out beyond meat residue from a garbage disposal. 🤮
Truth is transformative. Those that encounter Truth are forced to bend to its reality because, by its nature, Truth is unyielding. Aligning oneself with Truth can bescary and uncomfortable but brings ultimate joy. h/t @johnkvallis @LibertyBlitz Powerful stuff, great conversation
