Normies don’t understand
“Fix the Money, Fix the World.” During a panel at the @TheBitcoinConf I spoke about how meeting people where they’re at and starting the conversation by addressing their personal “why” is a critical strategy in Bitcoin education.

Can’t wait to listen to this today!!
I have one word for this episode: FASCINATING. This interview is exactly why I have been an avid listener of @YoureTheVoiceEF since the very early days. @efenigson has continually exposed me to some of the most intelligent and fascinating people in the world, and Federico Faggin is the perfect example. I had no idea who he was, and likely would never have if Efrat didn’t conduct and share this interview with him.
In this episode, they discuss (and tie together) many deep and intriguing topics such as consciousness, free will, human experience, love, comprehension, quantum physics, ethics, and AI (just to name a few).
The interview immediately grabs you when Federico starts by telling an absolutely incredible story of a deep, personal experience of his which led him on a 20 year journey to better understand consciousness, free will and the human experience. He contrasts our experiences (and intelligence) with AI and describes what he thinks AI is (and isn’t) and addresses its limitations.
What makes this interview even better, is that Efrat understands (and agrees with) his perspectives, which makes this more of a conversation and adds to the episode.
I don’t know how he does it, but somehow he is able to explain these extremely deep concepts (including how quantum physics supports his views) in a very understandable way. I literally cannot do this episode justice but there were a number of quotes that jumped out at me:
- Consciousness is through experience
- Consciousness is beyond space and time but they don’t want to acknowledge that because it takes power away
- Regarding AI, he says that we’ve simply taught machines to imitate us, and we give properties to this intelligent tape recorder
- They think that ethics is an algorithm
I found myself glued to this episode, listening intently and taking notes, and I think many others will as well (it is really THAT good). He has a new book out, which I am ordering today and cannot wait to read it. I cannot recommend this episode enough, everyone owes it to themselves to give it a watch/listen.
🎙️ Beyond the Invisible: Consciousness, Free Will & the Lie of AI
Ep. 171 with @fedefaggin
Federico Faggin is a physicist, inventor and entrepreneur and a highly spiritual person. He’s famous for developing the silicon gate technology in 1968, and designing the Intel 4004, the first commercial microprocessor. At the peak of that success, in 1990 his materialist worldview broke with a spiritual awakening and launched a 20-year exploration into consciousness. Today he pursues the scientific study of consciousness, unafraid to challenge mainstream scientific dogmas and push the envelope on humankind, our divinity and our relationship with AI and machines. His new book, Beyond the Invisible, is released today. In this conversation, we debunk Yuval Noah Harrari’s claims, explore consciousness, quantum physics and free will, Scientism as a religion, and why Federico believes survival of the fittest is the biggest lie ever told about who we are.

The window of opportunity is closing. We have a choice to make.
Do we want governments and corporations funding Bitcoin education—and shaping its future?
We don't.
That's why we launched the Bitcoin Education Fund, sharing 50% of all grassroots donations with independent educators and communities across our Education Network, based on their proof of work.
Independent education needs independent funding.

It hasn’t been easy trying to get bitcoin adoption on the island, but thats not stopping us!
I really enjoyed this episode. I had no idea who “Jake Galt” was prior to this, but he was very articulate and had a lot of fresh perspectives on the Fiat world (his name is in quotes because it is not his real name, but rather an homage to the Atlas Shrugged character "John Galt"). He calls himself a “recovering CPA” and as a financial auditor he describes first hand how he started to recognize the problems with the Fiat world and came to realize that the entire system we are living in is incredibly broken.
He talks about how the Fiat world is a proof of stake (POS) system, and that you are required to stake yourself further into it along the way. He is now a serious Bitcoiner and points out the differences between a proof of work (POW) system like Bitcoin and POS. He has a new book called “Break the Stake” which provides a detailed description of his thoughts and perspectives, and encourages everyone to “break your stake from the matrix.” I actually read the book and it is very good.
Two points that really resonated with me:
- He refers to health care as “sick care” because it is 17% of GDP. Meaning, they NEED us to stay sick enough to maintain 17% of GDP or the economy would collapse
- He talks about division in society and uses an analogy that we are like "ants in a jar, fighting with each other instead of the hand that is shaking us"
This is a very casual, lake side conversation with @efenigson from @Campnakamoto and was a fun, easy listen. He does a great job presenting his thoughts. Highly recommended!
They need you sick enough to stay on forever pills, but never sick enough to die. @WhoIsJakeGalt traces it back to the middle aisles of your grocery store, where nothing on the shelves is real food.
