In 2005, in addition to working and leading a quiet life in a pleasant/ attractive part of the city, I was finishing my year of social service in dentistry in the mountainous area near El Zonte. I had already decided to open a clinic in that area 🦷⛑️🌊

If you’re ever feeling generous, consider donating🧡 to bitcoin smiles initiative donate.bitcoinsmiles.org
By the way @pavlenex redesign the website, obviously open-source - built in Buzz- if you wish to help improve it feel free to send your agents.
Yesterday @BitcoinSmiles turned five 🎂
Back in 2021 @DienteZonte and I started it with a simple idea: use Bitcoin to help people in El Salvador who couldn’t afford dental care.
2,971 Bitcoiners from around the internet donated and helped raise 1.97 BTC. That bitcoin is still paying for care today and bringing smiles to the neighbourhood.
For its birthday, I redesigned bitcoinsmiles.org to better tell their stories and hopefully bring positivity your timeline. We could all use a little more of that right now.
The initiative plans to expand into Santa Ana with a second treatment room.
If you’re ever feeling generous, consider donating🧡

Como casi todas las tardes/noches de invierno, el zonte se satura de relámpagos, truenos, rayos y fuertes tormentas eléctricas. A veces el agua nos inunda la calle frente a la casa...algunos drenos no dan abasto. #ClimaSV

On may 2024, while sitting at the Embassy Bar in México 🇲🇽 (now closed) drinking a cold beer and having a tasty "torta", received an incredible invitation from my dear friend @WebWorthy to celebrate Bitcoin pizza day in NYC🗽🍕

There r many dentists near us but we prefer to support @BitcoinSmiles. Dr Berrios is a great dr and a real bitcoinner who donates his time to help those who can’t afford his services. We gave him an OPi pill to add to his awesome ₿ collection!

In September 21, Don Víctor was the 1st beneficiary of @BitcoinSmiles, regaining his beautiful smile & the ability to chew with his new dentures. We became friends & always invited us to his home for bean soup. We are saddened by his passing. It was an honor to have served him💛

Many "low-income patients" served by @BitcoinSmiles, show their gratitude by sharing their food, chickens from their farms or basic grains and vegetables/fruits from their harvests. We are really proud to serve our community and have a deep respect for the way they live. Gracias!
