Honoring the life and legacy of Greg Sharpe.
Greg spoke past the microphone and into the hearts of both Huskers and Wildcats alike.
Tonight in Grand Island, the student radio stations for both schools will unite to honor the late Greg Sharpe.

NEW: Greg Sharpe meant so much to so many, and his legacy to students has carried on even without Greg here to see it.
Harmon Johnsen and Nate Lowen get to embody Sharpe's spirit tonight in a special broadcast.

Sure Butker missing two field goals was awful but the defense just didn’t have it tonight. Cupeled with the offense being stuck in the mud I don’t think you can put out a worse performance than that.

Two things from NASCAR:
1. They looked at the SMT data and Stenhouse, Byron and Custer were all wide open from Turn 3 to the end of the race (none of them lifted to let Larson win, in other words)
2. They say Larson's left-side tires were on the yellow line but never below the yellow line. So they reviewed that and say it's legal.

Cool idea here...
To honor Greg Sharpe and his memory, the UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications has announced that its student broadcast of the Nebraska-Kansas State exhibition basketball game Monday will be called "The Greg Sharpe Scholarship Game."
KRNU (90.3 FM in Lincoln), has invited K-State's campus station to carry the game and team up on a broadcast with a student from each university. Harmon Johnson, from UNL, and Nate Lowen, from KSU, will provide the play-by-play. While students are discouraged from wearing school colors on broadcast, an exception will be made for this game.
Sharpe, of course, was a play-by-play man for both schools. "He was beloved by both fan bases," said Bill Doleman, assistant professor of practice who oversees KRNU's sports broadcasting program. "Whether you knew him personally or only by listening to him on-air, Greg had a way of making everyone feel like you were his friend."

Stephen King couldn't have written a script to torture Nebraska worse than what just happened. It's utterly evil.

40 years since making The Color of Money.
I had the privilege as a young artist, to have a general meeting with Paul Newman and separately with Martin Scorsese years before making this film, where they shared some of their wisdom on cinema.
Of course, I’d seen their films, but prior to meeting them for the first time, I set up a personal study course where I would watch their films in sequence from the beginning of their careers, up until that point in time.
After being cast in The Color of Money, I once again studied all of their films in sequence.
Having studied their work, then being able to see firsthand these incredible artists, the towering legends of our field, at work on set, I was able to observe their practical application in every aspect of acting and filmmaking from their point of view.
I will always be grateful for this opportunity and for the generosity that Newman and Scorsese showed me with their knowledge of cinema and insight throughout the entire process.
To Marty, Paul, and the enormously talented cast and crew, it was a pleasure and an honor to be part of this film with you all! I have carried this experience and knowledge with me my entire career.
