The Milwaukee Brewers had people sharing a lot of sad stories over the past few days. A lot of happy ones, too. In a world of screens and silos, sports are one of our last bastions for connection. On a World Series of life and death, grief and joy nytimes.com/athletic/7734617…

Easygoing weather continues despite cloudiness throughout Tuesday. Sunshine wins out Wednesday, along with more warmth. Passing showers return Thursday... and we do need some rain. It's been a nice stretch as of late, but we're in a deficit of rain this month.

Fall warmth continues this weekend, along with easygoing conditions. Only 'wrinkle' is more fog development overnight, lasting through mid-morning Saturday. Sunshine returns once the fog is out of the area.
38
Pockets of fog will become more widespread overnight and into early Friday morning, with locally dense fog possible. We're already seeing this along parts of the lakeshore, particularly across Oceana and Mason Counties, where dense fog has developed.
39
SUNNY OCTOBER! ☀️Grand Rapids is on pace for one of its sunniest Octobers. Through the 20th, we've enjoyed over 70% of possible sunshine, which would rank in the top 10. More sunny days ahead before clouds become more widespread. We'll see where we end up!

Mother Nature is bringing an extended stretch of quietness and fall warmth to West Michigan. Going to run out of ways to describe the weather! Truly as quiet as it can be for October…

In the last 3 Super Ninos, the pattern that developed in November repeated itself in December (before changing in Jan-Feb). Nov-Dec were similar in 1982 and 2015 with a ridge in the E U.S.

True taste of fall to end the week! Scattered showers, cool, and breezy. Gusts will be strongest at the lakeshore, potentially exceeding 40 mph.

Gradual temperature tumble... we'll work our way back to reality by the end of the week. While rain arrives by late Thursday, the impact will be felt Friday as winds ramp up (gusts near/exceed 40 mph).

For October... it's a weekend to get out and enjoy! Saturday will be much warmer than average under quiet skies. The remnants of Isaias may bring a shower chance Sunday, but it'll be isolated (optimistic we'll end the day with more sunshine).

Temperatures will stay seasonable to above average through at least Monday. Watching a potential cool down as next week goes on but nothing out of the ordinary for October.

Continued intensification has led to Hurricane Isaias. Close eye on Alabama/Florida border. For West Michigan, its remnants may draw far enough north for a few showers… especially south of Grand Rapids.

Easygoing stretch continued. Next rain chance comes late Friday via a warm front, which brings summer-like feel. Rain may return Sunday, dependent on how Isaias evolves after it makes landfall along the Gulf.
