Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer.
Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war.
To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha.
The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people.
And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final.
We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it.
Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made.
They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making.
One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

Binance began restoring withdrawals in phases at 06:00 UTC on November 1, 2026. By 12:36 UTC, withdrawals had resumed for all 15 networks and assets in the initial phase. After an initial spike, withdrawal volumes have declined and are stabilising as expected, while deposit volumes have remained substantial.
Between 06:00 and 15:30 UTC on November 1, we processed $4.649 billion in withdrawals and $1.01 billion in deposits, resulting in a net outflow of approximately $3.64 billion. This represents 2.1% of our $171 billion in total assets under management (AUM), based on the latest available Proof of Reserves (PoR) data as of October 28, 2026. A new PoR snapshot was taken at 00:00 UTC on October 31, and zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) computation began. The updated report is expected to be available on our PoR website tomorrow.
Our team continues testing rigorously the remaining networks and assets. We know how important safe and reliable access to your funds is and will share details of the next phase as soon as we can. Rest assured that market conditions are stable.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.

BREAKING: The FBI announces that North Korea was behind the $6.3 billion hack of Binance, now the largest hack in history.
North Korean hackers were previously accused by the FBI of some of the biggest crypto hacks.
This includes the $1.5 billion Bybit attack last year and the 2022 theft of $620 million in cryptocurrency.
North Korea is now responsible for both the first and second largest crypto hacks in history.

In the aftermath of the largest incident in crypto history, Binance’s response is what industry leadership looks like.
Immediate, direct communication from Richard Teng. User funds fully covered from the SAFU fund and company reserves (not other customers). Roughly half the assets already frozen through coordinated action with stablecoin issuers, blockchain partners, and law enforcement. Deposits continuing, withdrawals paused only for a security overhaul, and a clear commitment to an updated Proof of Reserves.
This is how mature platforms absorb extreme events and protect users. The standard has been raised. Proud of the response.

Wanting Binance to collapse is a fucking ridiculous position to take if you actually care about this industry.
Criticise the security failure. Demand answers. Expect customers to be made whole. Binance should be held accountable for what happened.
But actively hoping the exchange goes under? What exactly do you think you’re wishing for?
People are already uncomfortable after a 13% correction. Imagine being unable to withdraw your funds and not knowing when, or how much, you’ll get back.
Have we already forgotten what happened when FTX collapsed? Are we really that short-sighted?
Withdrawals stopped, customers were left with claims in bankruptcy, and the damage spread to other businesses.
Given Binance’s scale, a collapse would be even more damaging than FTX. Other firms could have funds exposed. Customers elsewhere would start questioning their own platforms. Money that might have entered the industry could decide it wants nothing to do with it.
You don’t need to like Binance to understand how damaging that would be.
It’s easy to cheer for a company to fail when you dislike its executives and the consequences are somebody else’s problem. Much harder when you think about the person refreshing a withdrawal page, wondering whether they’ll get their savings back.
I want answers, better security and customers protected.
I don’t need ordinary people to get hurt just so someone can post that they were right about an exchange.
I’m adding to my $BTC longs here at $76K.
As I’ve repeatedly mentioned over the last month, the $70Ks were always the likely area for the next higher low to develop. The plan was to add on a pullback into that range.
If you wanted to buy Bitcoin lower, what did you expect the chart to look like when it got there?
We’ve now corrected roughly 13% from the local high and returned to the prior range. I’m not going to spend a month identifying an area where I want to buy, then let a few red candles scare me out of buying it.
Could we go another 5–10% lower? Absolutely. I’m fully prepared for that.
What I’m not prepared to do is make my participation in the next cycle depend on getting every entry right.
I’m positioning for the upside I see over the next 12–18 months, and I don’t need to catch the exact bottom to do that.
If Bitcoin trades at $180K over the next few years, I doubt I’ll be complaining that I bought at $76K rather than a few thousand dollars lower.
When positioning for a cycle, your job as a trader is to build a position on major pullbacks and give it time to develop. Catching the exact low would be nice, but it isn’t a requirement.
I believe we’re approaching the point where the $70Ks won’t be available again.
Soon, you’ll never see Bitcoin in the $70Ks again.
That’s how I’m looking at this range.
The longer we spend here, the easier it becomes to assume you have all the time in the world. Another pullback. Another few months to decide. Another chance to buy at the same prices.
But we’re still trading well below the all-time high, and I believe this range will eventually become somewhere people wish they had spent less time doubting.
Take a screenshot. Look at it again in a year.
Because by then, we’ll be having this same conversation about Bitcoin below $100K.
