The world of engineering suffered a great loss this week, with the passing of Ron Ayers MBE. He played a pivotal role in pushing engineering boundaries, with the first and only human driven land vehicle to break the speed of sound, Thrust SSC.

He also played a key role in the aerodynamic design of #BloodhoundLSR, that has successfully operated at transonic speeds. His contributions have not only advanced our understanding of aerodynamics but have also inspired countless individuals to pursue careers in #STEM.
