Trump is the first president-elect ever to not sign an agreement that makes transition donations public. That means no one knows who is contributing to his transition, and how much, and it also allows foreign donations. As expected, Jack Smith has filed a motion to dismiss Trump Jan 6 case on grounds that a sitting POTUS cannot be under indictment. But without prejudice, meaning the case can be brought again. Of courses there may be no appetite in 2029, but this preserves that option.
