protests on Vancouver Island back in 2019. With the progressive movement looking to recruit support from native environmentalists, their main opposition became the local natives controlling the land who had a large stake in the logging company and wanted to see the forest cut.2/

I think the main point is everyone already does this to tend their green grass. The “lawn” was traditionally a european elite dogwhistle for the nobility to signal their wealth. They were so well-off that they could own land just to have grass on it.
