Natural diversity is in every aspect of the human body – noses, ears, hands, eyes, height, hair color, etc. But for weight we’re told anything outside of a narrow height/weight ratio is wrong and bad and should be eradicated with a global war. That's weight stigma talking.

Could people please stop peddling "calories in/calories out" diets for weight loss as if we haven't known for decades they don't work - unless, of course, you're hoping for short-term weight loss followed by weight regain and harm from weight cycling? Thanks.

If you’re recovering from an eating disorder and your parents are entrenched in diet culture, making comments that reinforce your ED, I see you and I’m sending so much love your way. I’m so proud of you for fighting in spite of it all. 💗 – at West Hollywood, CA

You can’t be a body positive “obes*ty specialist.” You either believe that fat people have a right to exist with respect and dignity or you are pathologizing fat bodies. I’m all for nuance but this is a complete oxymoron.

Not to mention informed by our incredibly talented Youth Advisory Council, headed up by @rhea_wernerr
So excited to celebrate the launch of the Body Confident Sport Guidelines - advised by youth, these guidelines (based on the PhD research of @GeorgieBuckley_ ) are long overdue, and will serve to support and encourage youth to pursue sport whilst creating positive body image.
