This forever will be one of the hardest interviews. Man I miss Philip Rivers. Gave us so many years. That’s my QB!! #chargers #boltfam #philiprivers
Writing is on the wall. McDaniels and Ficken will be gone after the bye! This saves Harbaugh if these moves happen
Let’s hope people get fired because damn 😂 worst team I ever watched in my 20+ years of being a Chargers fan
Okay Hortiz has to go if this is true. Mr comp picks refusing to get us ammo for next year’s draft starting 0-5 is criminal.
The Chargers have rejected trade calls, believing they’re close to turning things around after an 0-5 start and making no plans to hold a fire sale.
That and much more in the Week 6 Insider Notebook at The Sweep: tompelissero.substack.com/p/…
In a weird way being 0-5 feels easier than the last several years being a Chargers fan with hope. All I know Herbert is not the problem and I’ll die on that hill.
This is absolutely malpractice. There is no saving this season. I’m not saying blow it up but Mack isn’t coming back anyways. I hope this is just smoke
And? I don’t know a single person still hoping the Chargers make playoffs 😂 it’s a tank season. Shut them all down
Great journalism here. Maybe they should have addressed the guard positions and he wouldn’t have taken it as an insult
Q to Jim Harbaugh after he praised Justin Herbert's "warrior" play that he's been watching for two and a half years:
"Part of that is just him taking a ruthless beating because of, I don't know if it's the group in front of him, his protection, what's going on, but when you came here, your charge was to get him protected. Mike's [McDaniel] charge was to make sure he didn't have to be a superhero, but 2.5 years later, like you said, he still has to be a superhero for you guys to have a chance to win the game. Why is that?"
"Yeah, that just sounds more like an insult than it does a question, but if that's the way you look at it. I'm saying that it's the kind of competitor that he is where I've never seen him flinch. I've never seen him rattled. He's an amazing inspiration and that's what we do. We all feed off of that. I know the entire team does. And you ask me what gives me optimism, what gives me hope with this football team, because I see that throughout the entire team. And yeah, we attack, we improve, can't improve everything all at once, but we can improve one thing at a time, all the time. And that's what this team is doing.
"It wasn't insult. I'm just asking if it's the third season now and he's still among the most pressured and hit quarterbacks. I'm just asking you why that is?"
"I think I answered your question. I can answer it the same way."
"You can answer it the same way, but I don't think you answered it."
"I think I did."
I really feel for the die hards traveling to watch these games. Hope you guys are making a trip out of it at least
Crazy that we waited 7 months for the season just to be over after week 3 😑 and clear obvious problems were not addressed. Only hope left is firing people which is a never ending loop.
Seems like a great time to revisit how the entire locker room thinks Harbaugh just wastes their time. He is surely wasting my time watching this abysmal team.
