1. 10 weeks ago, I joined the @lightning network barely knowing how to open a channel. Last week I became a profitable lightning network routing node. Here's a thread on the ultimate strategy game for LN node operators from one #Bitcoin pleb to another. 👇👇👇

In 2019 I did well over 50 BTC worth of Lightning sends and receives involving 3rd parties even though the capacities of my own nodes' channels are under 30 BTC People are tempted to relate the public capacity number to the hidden volume number but it just doesn't work that way

2/ -Lightning routing will be limited not by protocol but by routing nodes. Cpu's can can only handle thousands of transactions per second before getting overloaded. This can be mitigated a bit by having many highly connected routing nodes.

Fin/ Also with Channel Factories, Fabrice mentioned that one problem with watch towers is that you have to store all the old revocation data which makes it currently uneconomical to run. But once el too is implemented, it'll bring the cost down and will be a lot easier to manage.

@LNconf had most of its tickets purchased with Lightning. And @Boltathon is an awesome online Lightning conference and hackathon. 😎
