Newcastle players showed more fight in trying to get Harrison Armstrong up than they did in the whole previous 97 minutes. Daft buggers. Embarrassing.
'Glasner is not understood to be under any pressure from Evangelos Marinakis, the owner, and there is a determination internally to remain calm. Marinakis is striving for stability and intent on backing Glasner as a long-term appointment'. 👍

It’s interesting that a bad run on the pitch - coinciding with an interview with Vitor - can easily lead to some fans saying they’ve never hated the club more than they do now.
I guess it’s all relative, but I suspect it’s very much recency bias at play here.
It could be worse, we could be second from bottom in the Championship or drawing 2-2 at home with Stevenage in the third tier.
I hope Marinakis isn’t preparing a P45 just yet.
I honestly thought Newlands would be packed to the rafters today, but it isn't - so it will be interesting to see if it will be when admission is free after lunch.
I guess in South African terms this is a big crowd, but backs up my point below from last week.
I think the reaction to last night’s Beat Luke Littler on Netflix shows that some folk take life far too seriously.
It was a bit of fun on a Friday night. Nothing more.
I don’t want to sound like those perennial misery guts @KJMsport57 and @TrentBridge1, but Sam Curran is having a nightmare Tri-Series.
Unless I’ve missed something, looks the guy in Perth, WA, who replied to this post 14 years ago questioning Norwich’s ambition has deleted his post.
Perhaps it’s more to do with the fact that in 2012 he presented himself as a NCFC supporter BUT now appears to be a Spurs fan!🤣
I note the reputations of Ryan Yates and Igor Jesus have been enhanced in recent days.
Not a criticism, but it’s always fascinating how a player’s stock always rises - within certain elements of a fanbase - when they’re not playing for whatever reason.
I’ve not watched Match of the Day for years, and that includes the episodes in the early days of our return to the top flight.
I can’t see the point. Content and highlights are widely available and we live in an age when non-match-going fans can watch 3pm games ‘by other means’.
I'm losing my love for Match of the Day, and this weekend proved me right.
Mark Chapman’s presentation here is completely flat. Football is all about passion, banter, and pure emotion—so why does the BBC package it like a corporate seminar? Chappers is totally different on the radio, but on TV he looks bored rigid, like the last person you'd ever want to talk footy with.
While the pundits do a decent job, the whole atmosphere is way too sterile.
Give us presenters who actually love the game, can take a joke, and sound like real fans talking with mates.
Football is supposed to be fun. Can someone please remind Match of the Day?

I’m only a casual boxing fan and far from an expert, but I thought Dalton Smith was somewhat fortunate to get that decision.
Well I thought it was more of a must-not-lose game rather a must-win match tonight, but it’s still frustrating that we’re creating chances and not getting the wins.
That said, I’d probably be even more concerned if we weren’t creating the chances (I think).
A year ago today when #NFFC beat Porto in the Europa League and my user handle was Garibaldi on Camera.
Looking at the number of (or lack of) spectators at the Gqeberha Test Match between South Africa and Australia once again highlights there’s only one group of people who truly care about the longer format of cricket:
The English paying public.
More positives than negatives today. A win at Ipswich on Friday would make things look a lot brighter, but easier said than done. They looked pretty decent against City yesterday.
Five days on and with my stomach churning ahead of this afternoon’s game, I stand by this.
I fear the worst, but I did four years ago this week and then we went and beat Liverpool.
