The project to repair and replace sandbags along NC12 on the north end of Ocracoke Island is now underway. While work is in progress, there will be a short single-lane closure monitored by temporary traffic signals. Please drive with caution and slow down while in the area.

GREAT NEWS! NC12 is reopening on Ocracoke Island, so ferry service will resume with the 2pm departure from Hatteras and the 3:30 pm departure from Ocracoke.
Keep in mind there is still sand and water on the road, so SLOW DOWN on Ocracoke when you get there!

Great News! Hatteras Ferry Operations will have departures from Hatteras at 12:30pm and Ocracoke at 12:30pm. Doing our best to get parcels delivered to Ocracoke Island prior to Christmas Day! We may not have a Rudolph but, we have some of the best in the business leading the way.
