This morning, the gray kitten was purring and rubbing against me. I think we're getting to be good friends.
One of my favorites

October 25: Freebie/Any Movie you want to post to X… in honor of it being TWO months to Christmas, a Christmas movie that doesn’t get nearly enough attention, Holiday Affair (1949).
Robert Mitchum, Janet Leigh, and adorable Gordon Gebert are wonderful in this one... I absolutely love it.
I'm feeling pretty good about skipping the hotel breakfast two weeks ago.
The scrambled eggs at a hotel breakfast are 19% water, and they're dyed.
A lot of hotels and cafeterias pour them from a carton of Papetti's Breakfast Blend. The spec sheet reads whole eggs, 19% water, then under 2% of salt, xanthan gum, citric acid, annatto color and natural butter flavor. Papetti's is part of Michael Foods, one of the biggest egg processors in the country.
Every ingredient has a job on a steam table. Xanthan gum holds the added water in the egg so it doesn't weep into the pan. Citric acid keeps the eggs from turning gray or green under a heat lamp. Annatto puts back the yolk color the water washed out. The butter flavor is there because nobody is going to add butter. The carton keeps for 98 days in the cooler.
The plain version from the same company is whole eggs, whey, skim milk, xanthan and citric acid, with almost no added water and half the sodium.

Just a friendly reminder that Steve Rogers is Captain America and Sam Wilson is the Falcon. It seems like quite a few people are confused by this.
Building trust
Also, the black kitten seems to be recovering. Today she was doing a little jumping and climbing.
Wildly overrated
"Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?" :)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was released nationally in the US 57 years ago today, on October 24, 1969!
Did You Know? The film was originally titled The Sundance Kid and Butch Cassidy, and Paul Newman was initially expected to play Sundance! When Newman took the role of Butch instead, the title was reversed!

Stallone continuing to be a based, traditional male who wants what's best for his family while he's here to make it happen.
Peak role-model.
Peak masculinity.
