Weird that they chose 2006 to compare to 2024, when as you see above 2006 was the peak of the subprime mortgage situation and had a significant spike in home ownership, including among young people with less income etc.
Why do you think they did that?
"yup they're the exact same thing"
not what you said a minute ago

"We should give little weight to careless work, especially when it is confirming closely held priors"
Some might apply that to PSZ.
Here's the level of specific counterpoint I've seen:
"What were they supposed to do" - well, not write the paper since they didn't have sufficient data to support their conclusions.
"They discussed it in the paper" - Oh, did they say not to trust their conclusions since the underlying data was insufficient?

Ok, that thread has a lot of examples where people seem to agree there's a real issue. Here's the first specific complaint I found.
The report seems to be saying "they took data from several countries, applied it to all countries, then drew conclusions. That's bad because there's no evidence that all countries are identical in this way."
The response is "what were they supposed to do" - well, not write the paper since they didn't have good data to support their conclusions.
"They discussed it in the paper" - did they say "our conclusions are unsupportable since we didn't have sufficient data"?
Look at the edges of math discourse here on X;
- "What's a percentage"
- "something to do with non amenable groups and Thompdons' F, been working on it for 19 years."
If you don't appreciate this you don't appreciate people.

Sure, here's the full thing. She posted something, this dude replied asking "why do you only celebrate white men's deaths" and quote-tweeted her Limbaugh post.
The she said "die white man."
Not that complicated. She's since deleted her account, so no idea what she initially posted, but I would guess something about Charlie Kirk.

So being a Canadian is about hiding what's really going on, and fake humility?
That's your principled stand?
