How is it okay in this day and age for an airline to mess up with baggage and there is no accountability??? I’m talking to you, @AmericanAir

The great hope of society is individual character. ~William Ellery Channing So proud of @AlexBossing for growing into the man I always knew he would be!
Congratulations to this year's men's cross country ( @wwuxctf ) award winners!
A5: I see many students rely on traditional algorithms, whether they understand the why or not. #SPSMathChat

A3: I wish I had been taught multiplication using area models when I was younger. As someone who struggled in math, I think that organizational structure would have helped me, and I see it helping students all the time! #SPSMathChat

A1: 29x16= 29x10 + 29x6 = 290 + 174 = 464 #SPSMathChat

I tell my students that's my favorite fact, because 56=7x8 (5678). I don't have a favorite fact, but they remember it because of the connection we make in class! #SPSMathChat
My favorite is 8 x 7. For some reason that one is so difficult for memorizers. But Ss who are flexible can think of 4x7 doubled or 7 x 7 plus one more set of 7. #SPSMathChat

Efficiency is so important, because by 4th grade, we can't use manipulatives for problems where students are adding and multiplying in the thousands. :) #SPSMathChat
A3: I would really like to increase efficiency. I want my students to be less reliant on manipulatives for addition and subtraction within 20. #SPSMathChat

@Bossing_Bunch Hi Mrs. Bossing! I'm not sure if you remember me, but you were my fourth grade teacher at McBride in 2006 - 2007 school year. I hope you are well! I noticed you are now teaching at David Harrison; that's super rad! I'm currently in my last semester of college...
