Weโre running this study at Botric, and weโd like your input. Which brands or prompt types would you want us to test? Drop them below ๐
Do AI assistants recommend big brands over small ones?
Everyone assumes yes. Nobody has shown it with data.
At Botric we track thousands of buyer-style prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.
So we're running a study on it, and we're writing down our hypotheses before we look at the results:
1. Within the same category, larger brands get mentioned more often than smaller ones.
2. The gap shrinks for local and niche prompts.
3. Small brands get cited mostly from their own site and review pages. Large brands get cited from editorial and community sources.
4. Among small brands, the ones with more third-party mentions show up more in answers.
We'll compare brands of similar category, exclude branded prompts, report each engine separately, and show the uncertainty. If we find nothing, we'll publish that too.
When it's done we'll share the method and the aggregated data, not just the headline.

1) You can find out if AI recommends your brand in 5 minutes. No tools. No signup.
"AI visibility" = how often ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude recommend you when a buyer asks.
Here's how: ๐งต
2) Open ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude.
Four tabs. Same question in each.
3) The question: the exact buying prompt your customer uses.
Not your category. Your use case. "Best [X] for a [size] [type] team."
4) Count the mentions. Yours vs your top three competitors'.
Be honest: an "honorable mention" isn't a recommendation.
5) Repeat for 10 prompts.
Example result: you're cited on 1โ2, a competitor on 7.
That gap is your AI visibility problem, in one page of notes.
6) The uncomfortable part: your usual analytics won't warn you.
There's often no traffic drop and no rank change. Just a shortlist you're not on.
7) Want it done in 30 seconds? Run a free check across all four at botric.ai. No signup needed to see results.
Ask ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity the same โbest [your category] for [your buyer]โ question.
Youโll often get three different answers from different models. Each model reads the web differently, so one โAI visibility scoreโ hides a lot.
Check each one separately. Thatโs where the real gaps show up.

The two ways AI knows you:
AI knows your brand in two ways. What it learned in training, which is frozen and can be months old.
What it looks up live when someone asks, which is whatever it can find and read right now.
Most brands only work on #1 and hope. #2 is the one you can fix this week.
#GEO #AISearch #LLMVisibility
1) We took a brand from invisible to cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity AND Claude in about 30 days.
Here's the exact playbook (steal it): ๐งต
2) First: stop guessing what to rank for. Map the prompts your buyers actually type into AI.
Not "what is X." The buying ones: "best X for Y," "X vs Z," "how to set up X this quarter."
3) Then audit the reality. Ask all four engines the same prompts and log who gets named.
You'll usually find you're absent on the ones that matter most โ the bottom-of-funnel questions.
4) Fix the plumbing first, because it's fast and high-impact:
ยท Add structured data (schema)
ยท Publish llms.txt
ยท Unblock AI crawlers in robots.txt
ยท Fix canonicals & page speed
5) Then write the content the models are missing โ real comparison pages, pricing guides, "how to choose"
posts.
Don't write for readers. Write to be quoted: clear answers, extractable structure, one claim per section.
6) Seed the sources AI trusts. The models cite third parties โ communities, reviews, roundups.
Get into the places they already quote and you stop fighting for the answer. You become part of it.
7) Re-test every week. Visibility compounds: more citations โ more trust โ more citations.
That's the loop most brands never start.

Most AI-visibility tools tell you you're invisible.
That's it. A dashboard and a shrug.
The gap in this market isn't information.
It's the fix.
So we built both:
โ Find the AI prompts and Google keywords you're losing
โ Write the pages and blogs that win them back
โ Rank you on AI and Google
โ Then answer every visitor AI sends you, 24/7
One platform. Two engines. The full funnel.

The two games
You can rank #1 on Google and be completely invisible in ChatGPT.
Those are now two different games.
