Attended a presentation from Finnish professor who helped define its Housing First policy. He compared Finland with Ireland, countries with similar populations. Ireland doesn't compare well.

Never forget that getting people on their bicycles is a good investment for society as a whole.
Even in a small country like Denmark, you can measure the benefits in billions of Euros.

DR Congo is one of the wealthiest countries in the world in terms of minerals.
The DRC has signiducant untapped gold, cobalt, and high-grade copper reserves. Cobalt is one of the key metals to produce electric vehicles and places the DRC in a strategic position for the energy transition in the West.
In 2020, the DRC was the world’s largest cobalt miner with 95,000 tons, or nearly 41% of the world’s cobalt. The DRC was the sixth largest producer of industrial diamonds with a production of 3.7 million carats.
But mining as you can see can be very dangerous to the labor involved and at the same time polluting for the environment.

I still wonder at the fact Limerick Coco spent 70k on a parklet on O’Connell Street which was due to be refurbished - meaning their pricey new parklet which cost 3 times of the ones built in Cork - would be removed a year or so later.

Did you know Limerick's #MilkMarket has been open almost every weekend for the past 170 years? Reopening back in 1852, the last year of the famine.

Build the infrastructure and our health will improve. This man is 96 and still cycling @LeoVaradkar @EamonRyan
Cycling is an important means of transportation in the Netherlands, especially for the elderly. It keeps them healthy and contributes to social inclusion.
To improve their safety, the Dutch national government developed a new program called "CycleOn".
