Irish Nationalism does not understand what Orangeism means & represents to those within its ranks, their families and communities. It believes it narrow in purpose & outlook. It blatantly is not. If it were there would not be the emotion or anger! So, step 1: try & understand...

Peaceful. Lawful. Dignified. Thousands have gathered in Portadown tonight to show their support for the local Orangemen. Fellow citizens who had their cultural rights denied by sectarian attitudes and lawlessness. Michelle O’Neill must face consequences for her actions.

The “peaceful protest” on Garvaghy Road was an illegal road block intent on denying the human rights of their fellow citizens. It was sinister, intimidating, and far from peaceful. Two cars were positioned in the middle of the road. Many people covered their faces. According to the organiser, petrol bombs were made in preparation of a showdown. Threats were also made by politicians about a “day of reckoning.”
