You’re not limited by what the experts say. The experts can be wrong. Experts built the Titanic, and it sank. Noah built the ark, and it floated. God has the final say. He knows how to end a drought. He knows how to heal what looks impossible. He knows how to turn situations around when there’s no logical way.

WOMAN ALLEGEDLY KIDNAPPED OUTSIDE GREAT BRAK RIVER SHOPPING CENTRE Police have launched a kidnapping investigation after Denise Ellie Lewis-Swart was allegedly kidnapped by four men outside the De Dekke shopping complex in Great Brak River on Thursday, 29 October 2026. Denise had reportedly gone shopping for groceries and coffee around midday when the suspects allegedly forced her into a white GAC M8 Master and fled. Her whereabouts remain unknown. Her husband says CCTV footage reportedly shows the men spending time around the shopping centre before the incident. They were allegedly also seen in the area on Wednesday. Denise was last seen wearing white trousers, a white shirt, a white and cream jacket and green Adidas shoes. She wears transparent-frame glasses and has a small oval nose piercing. Police have confirmed that a kidnapping case has been opened. Great Brak River detectives are investigating. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Paul Scheepers on 044 620 8326 or SAPS Crime Stop on 08600 10111. The family is desperately appealing for help. Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area is urged to come forward. Please share.

BBC News, I am a foreigner living in South Africa, and I believe your reporting is doing an injustice to this country when you highlight violence against foreigners without giving equal attention to the serious crime that fuels public frustration. As a foreigner, I refuse to pretend that crime committed by other foreigners is not a problem simply because I am one of them. My nationality does not require me to defend wrongdoing, and my empathy for foreigners does not require me to dismiss the legitimate concerns of South Africans. There are reports of foreign nationals implicated in drug trafficking, human trafficking, illegal drug laboratories and cable theft. A foreign national was also reportedly involved in running over a Crime Intelligence specialist. These incidents deserve serious scrutiny and consistent reporting, too. If BBC News can report when a foreigner is beaten to death, it should also report on crimes committed against South Africans, regardless of the perpetrator’s nationality. If you believe violence against foreigners deserves international attention, surely the victims of crimes committed by foreigners deserve that same attention. Accountability cannot be selective. Human rights apply to everyone, and so must the law. Let me be clear: beating someone to death is indefensible, and no crime justifies mob justice. But condemning mob violence must not become an excuse to avoid discussing crime, immigration enforcement and the failures that leave communities feeling unsafe. South Africans deserve safety, and foreigners who commit crimes must face the law. These positions are not contradictory. Do not use the death of one person to silence an entire country’s concerns. Report the killing, condemn the violence, and give the broader issue of crime the same seriousness. That is what fair and responsible journalism should look like.

Replying to @BozzaTheChamp
"Better life" means an improved quality of existence: better housing, water, jobs, health, education, security and opportunity. In South African politics it is the ANC's longstanding slogan "A better life for all," used since 1994 to describe post-apartheid progress in basic services and living standards.

Don't let the complaints of disappointed Nike fans discourage you from exploring other sportswear brands; Nike's recent missteps don't reflect the quality of its competitors. This tweet is not about Nike, nor sportswear.
