Worth mentioning or reminding people of a couple things:
1) offensive and defensive rating are not an individual stats
2) all those points per possession numbers (especially like net rating) normalizes after like 20+ games and really? Honestly? Like closer to 500 minutes.
3) same applies to lineup data
Using any of these numbers at this junction to make a case for anything is straw grasping it to the 100th degree.

I don't know if anyone has any insight on this, but the NBA removing the ability to view the clip of each box score stat on their website is such a bummer. Hope this isn't perminent.

I asked Victor Wembanyama about the Luke Kornet discourse, specifically about Mitch Johnson's comments that the narrative can sometimes be "Luke vs. Victor."
He doesn't think such a comparison has any merit. Here was our interaction:

Honestly I think Kornet worked for last year's team. This year we're too slow with him on the court. Luckily there is a solution to this problem tho..
We were up 6 in the 4th and the second Wemby sat the lead vanished.
Someone tell me why we can't depend on Harper, Fox, and Castle to grow and/or maintain leads. Even if Kornet gives up a bucket, our Slash Bros should be to go band for band with anybody.
This is the much bigger issue and everyone has completely ignored it. And when the playoffs start we'll be saying the same stuff we said last year.
Look. I like Luke. He still has some value but y'all run him in drop coverage EVERY TIME. Drop coverage is NOT real defense. Also I'm tired of seeing rebound after rebound go over everybody's head while we have a literal hoover vacuum sitting on the bench. Find Tarris Reed some fkn minutes!
#Spurs' Keldon Johnson gave a long answer when I asked him about Mitch Johnson's comments about Luke Kornet and the players around him:
"It's true. Defense takes all five people. Vic (Wembanyama) is a tremendous, tremendous defender. Luke is a really, really good defender. But if we don't help Luke out, he can't do it by himself. That's part of the team sport. We — as in the bench unit — if we're not sharp on our shifts or things like that, we can't expect Luke to just bail us out every time.
"Yeah, he'll make good plays. He blocks shots. But I think it's kind of unfair to say that ... it just all falls on Luke. He can't put the fire out every time.
"We've got to continue to get better and continue to nail our defensive principles. So that he can thrive in this role for sure." #PorVida
