ALT Senator Julie Miville-Dechêne’s Public Bill S-210 would subject to criminal sanctions pornographic websites that do not effectively verify users’ age before providing access to sexually explicit material. The designated authority responsible for enforcing the act would have the power to apply to the Federal Court for an order requiring internet service providers to block access to offending pornographic sites.
