Footpaths are meant for people to walk, not for two-wheelers to park.

The situation at Amarsons Coastal Road exit is getting worse every day!
Nearly 70% of clearly appear to be heading towards Napean Sea Road, while unbearable honking is affecting residents living right next to the exit.

New spot for tourist buses or should we say these buses are "allowed" to park in double & triple while the residents are fined if they are in single lane. And if these buses are moved then they come & park a few meters further like in the pics. @MTPHereToHelp @CPMumbaiPolice

A community meeting was held at Cymroza Art Gallery in Breach Candy today, where local residents discussed concerns over the proposed coastal garden attractions and their potential impact on the neighbourhood. Residents voiced fears of increased traffic, pedestrian movement and parking pressure, and reiterated their demand for an exit on Napean Sea Road from the southbound Coastal Road. @breachcandyALM

Not having the Exit at Napean Sea Rd has led to horrible snarls all throughout Kemps corner, breach candy & Mahalaxmi temple.
Coastal rd has reduced our travel time but without proper last mile connectivity we end up in chaos everyday.

When buses aren't allowed to stop at the Bus stop!
Double & triple parking force buses to stop in between of the road thereby blocking the traffic behind.
Stricter execution of rules is needed!

Pedestrians first must mean pedestrians first. On #BhulabhaiDesaiRd, footpaths are only 1–1.5m wide. Kiosks, Hawkers, live cooking, shoppers standing, two wheelers parked on pavements leave no space to walk. Please enforce the policy consistently.

Mumbai’s #Pedestrian first program: In a significant modification @mybmc has tightened the implementation of its Universal Footpath Policy 2023- by dropping provisions that allowed limited exceptions for parking and temporary structures on footpaths. The modification is a part of the six page guidelines that have been issued for implementation of the newly launched - 'Pedestrians First (Improving Walkability) program issued by the municipal commisioner on Aug 5, 2026.
