No matter who wins, Ohio has a fight on our hands. It’s time to get organized. JOIN: 🔗pslweb.org/join (LINK IN BIO) For over a year, this campaign has redefined what's possible in Ohio's politics. We've battled the two-party system, knocked tens of thousands of doors, gathered 15,000 signatures to get on the ballot, and we've made socialism a conversation at every dinner table.

"This is Eric Garner. This is Sandra Bland. This is police covering for police who kill Black people." Koran Irvine, a Black father of two and Con Edison worker, was killed by retired NYPD officer Victor Romero in an apparent road rage shooting last week. Irvine was on his way home to his family on the George Washington Bridge. On Tuesday, members of UWUA Local 1-2, Irvine's union, held a rally with members of his family demanding answers from the city representatives – who they still have not heard from. At his indictment earlier that day, Romero's charges were upgraded to second-degree murder from manslaughter. Despite these charges, he is currently walking free after posting a $1 million bail. Irvine's family is calling for him to be remanded and sent back to jail. BT's @radiofreeamanda reports from Manhattan's Foley Square.

Contrast Independent Socialist OH Senate candidate Greg Levy to “capitalist” Democrat Angie Nixon’s take on Cuba.
Right now, Cuba needs our solidarity, not attacks from so-called progressives. It’s our duty to end the blockade, end the sanctions, and stop our own government’s war on Cuba.

"We're told every election cycle that we just need to vote for the Democrats or vote for the Republicans, and change which party has the majority in office. “Liberate Venezuela from foreign domination” says U.S. Senator attempting to impose his will on Venezuela 🫠
Now is the time to announce the path to free elections. I endorse Senator Bernie Moreno’s call for a Presidential election by July 24, 2027, the birthday of Liberator Simón Bolívar. Liberate Venezuela from dictatorship. Liberate Venezuela from foreign domination. Venezuela for Venezuelans!

Since 2009, the federal minimum wage has been stuck at just $7.25/hour while housing costs have skyrocketed. Today, a worker needs to earn an average of $34.73/hour to afford a two-bedroom apartment — and nearly $50 in states like California and Hawaii. In no state can a minimum-wage worker afford a two-bedroom apartment working 40 hours a week. But this crisis goes beyond housing and wages. It’s a crisis of capitalism itself — an economic system that puts profits over people’s most basic needs. Swipe to learn how socialism could tackle the root of this crisis and build a society where everyone has a home. 🧵

For some background, the Massachusetts Senate candidate Joe Tache, a socialist who was polling at 9%, met all the criteria to join the first televised debate. But the Democratic incumbent Ed Markey dropped out and the debate was canceled.  To give voters a chance to hear the full spectrum of views on the ballot, we’re hosting our first our first-ever Senate candidate forum tomorrow night, featuring both Tache and Republican Senate candidate John Deaton. Ed Markey has been invited, but has not responded.
🔴LIVE | TUES 10/27 | 7PM ET Massachusetts voters barely get to hear from the people running for Ed Markey’s Senate seat. We’re fixing that. Socialist Joe Tache and Republican John Deaton on Iran, ICE, Medicare for All, and more. WATCH: youtube.com/live/Bbspp_Y5OjU

Lula’s win against Bolsonaro is a decisive defeat for the far right everywhere & for Washington’s push to restore full hegemony in Latin America. This comeback after losing the first round was made possible by political mobilization of recent weeks led by Brazil’s mass movements.

BREAKING: Workers' Party leader and incumbent president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has defeated far-right Senator Flávio Bolsonaro in Brazil's runoff election. Flávio, son of ex-president Jair Bolsonaro, had clinched a first place victory over Lula on October 5 in the first round of elections. Since then, progressive movements had focused on intense street mobilization and outreach on social media in an effort to flip the vote. In recent weeks, reports emerged that US tech giant META had been boosting Bolsonaro's content across platforms and deliberately restricting Lula's. On election day, further interference in favor of Flávio was registered when right-wing leaders in several states considered progressive strongholds, intentionally cut or decreased transportation services, directly infringing on Brazilians' right to vote. In response, the electoral court extended voting for two hours. Today's outcome marks a significant defeat of the pro-US far right in Latin America.

🇨🇺As the annual UN resolution vote to lift the blockade on Cuba approaches, we must stand in solidarity with Cuba. Solidarity is not a crime the blockade is! The Trump administration, Marco Rubio, and ultra-right interventionists want you to believe their genocidal lies. The only threat to the lives of millions of Cubans is the blockade, which blocks food, medicine, and fuel and disrupts everyday life—it is a silent war. Cuba is not a threat, the blockade is. We say no to the blockade and no to war. Let Cuba Live!

Trump here does a widdle baby voice to mock people who are complaining about high gas prices, explaining that the oil and gas industry is making “hundreds of billions, trillions.” It’s never been clearer how much he hates the people who voted for him.

“Socialism is not simply about the policies that we put in place but who fundamentally controls society.” Houston-based organizer with the PSL, Rachel Domond, joined hundreds at the Minnesota Socialism Summit to talk more about what socialism really means: fundamentally taking the power out of the hands of the billionaires, and putting it into the hands of working people. It’s not enough to change policies — workers make this country run, and should run the country, too! We need an organized movement to fight for the socialist future we need and deserve.
