Community shout out 3 was for @ODcamp - coming soon to London... odcamp.uk/ A great place for anyone into, or interested in learning more about all/anything open data.
Know Your Place was the first of three community shout outs at the Bristol Open Data meetup last night. maps.bristol.gov.uk/kyp
We mentioned the Know Your Place maps during #communityshoutouts at @bristolopendata this eve. While not #opendata, it related to interesting maps that we had been talking about at our @openstreetmap event. maps.bristol.gov.uk/kyp Have a play! #historical #maps @Locallearning
That's a wrap. Huge thanks to Neil for the brilliant talk, and for everyone that turned up. Neils slides will be linked to from our meetup page and also in the Bristol Open Data Meetup page #BristolOpenData

Gang - the never ending Open Data Camp tour is looking to come to London later this year and we* are on the look out for a good (ideally free, but at least low budget) venue. Could you help? * I am low-key helping the team of legends put the camps on now.
*PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT* Open Data Camp is looking for a sponsored venue in that London! Can you help? #opendata #odcamp #opengov

Questions from the floor now, lots of great questions as well as interesting knowledge and experience being shared. For example, how does #OpenStreetMap deal with sudden changes in road layout? #BristolOpenData
#OpenStreetMap has no ontology - this makes it maybe less immediately straightforward to interpret, but creates a very low barrier to entry for those who wish to add things. #BristolOpenData
Hearing from Neil about what we need to get going on #OpenStreetMap. 1) Switch off your computer and go for a walk! 2) You need your brain, a phone, and maybe some wellies :) #BristolOpenData

Just hearing about the made up 'trap streets' that the A to Z added to their maps, that are streets that don't exist - a way for them to know if people are copying their maps without permission! 🤯 #BristolOpenData

What is #OpenStreetMap ? It's not JUST a map. Plus we're hearing about OpenStreetMap the UK CIC, and the benefits of local knowledge in mapping #BristolOpenData

Having a few discussions on this at the moment. What is a data strategy to you? What are its goals? #OpenData #odcamp – at Tottenham, London

Warning - the domain odcamp.org.uk is not owned by us.. It is being used for what appears to be a scam attempt. Please DO NOT leave your details on the website and stay safe. We're investigating what action to take. #odcamp

Cool project, events and community training. What could we do? How could we do it? What are the blockers?

Overheard in our workshop "the blocker is, data's quite boring". Fighting talk? Or fair?
