To be clear, the legal obligation on British government to act to prevent genocide does not require it to accept that it is a genocide, it only requires knowledge of a "serious risk" of genocide. To say we'll wait for ICJ decision is a failure to comply with the law.

Yesterday in Parliament, the new Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband promised to introduce a “comprehensive reset” of UK policy on Israel in the coming weeks, and that ministers would be listening to Palestinians who say, “The time to act is now”.
