An Open Letter to the University of Sydney @Sydney_Uni @mscott
Regarding the appointment of Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice
Dear Professor Scott,
I read with absolute disgust that the University of Sydney has appointed Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice, where she will apparently be sharing her wisdom on empathetic leadership, social cohesion and civic trust.
You cannot be serious.
You are quoted as saying:
"Dame Jacinda led New Zealand through events of profound consequence and her leadership demonstrated that empathy and resolve do not compete with one another; each can strengthen the other."
Appointing Jacinda Ardern to teach social cohesion is rather like appointing Jeffrey Dahmer to teach a course on wellbeing, or Jimmy Savile to run the local daycare centre. The sheer absurdity would almost be funny if the consequences of her leadership weren't so hideously tragic.
My name is Alia Bland. I am a co-founder of Voices for Freedom, an organisation established in New Zealand in 2020. For years, we stood alongside tens of thousands of ordinary Kiwis whose lives were torn apart by the policies of Ardern's government.
While the international media fawned over her kindness and compassion, we were dealing with the wreckage.
At the height of the COVID response, we were receiving upwards of 1,000 emails a day. Desperate people reaching out because they had lost their jobs, their incomes, their homes and, in many cases, their will to live.
People nearing retirement were forced to sell family homes they had spent decades paying off. Some are still living in caravans five years later.
Marriages collapsed. Families fractured. Lifelong friendships were destroyed. People who had served their communities for decades were suddenly treated like lepers because they declined a medical procedure.
Some of the people who came to us had spent their entire lives believing New Zealand was a decent, fair-minded country. Watching that belief crumble, and seeing what it did to them, was heartbreaking.
I cannot adequately describe the anguish in those emails. The desperation of parents wondering how they would feed and house their families. The humiliation of hardworking people being marched out of professions they loved. The despair of people who had done everything society asked of them, only to discover that their own government considered them disposable.
And presiding over it all was Jacinda Ardern, smiling for the cameras and telling the world how kind New Zealand was.
Kind? For whom?
Her government deliberately created a two-class society. Ardern herself acknowledged it publicly. New Zealanders were excluded from workplaces, businesses, events and ordinary social life. People were coerced into accepting a medical intervention under threat of losing their livelihoods.
And those who suffered adverse reactions to the COVID vaccines faced another nightmare. We fought for vaccine-injured New Zealanders whose lives had been devastated by serious physical harm, while many struggled to have their injuries acknowledged or receive adequate support.
The government's public assurances about vaccine safety deserve particular scrutiny. Officials knew about the myocarditis risk, including among young people. We have examined the records. Yet people raising legitimate questions about those risks were routinely dismissed and vilified.
The damage went far beyond lost incomes and broken relationships. An enormous number of New Zealanders lost faith in the very institutions they had trusted their entire lives. Government, health authorities, education, police and the media. That trust has not magically returned because Ardern has moved on to more prestigious surroundings.
While her government was busy marginalising people, we were building a nationwide support network to help them survive.
Voices for Freedom grew to more than 100,000 people on our mailing list, many representing entire families. More than 45,000 people signed up to our local groups across the country, which are still operational today in 2026. We established industry groups to help people fight for their careers, provided support through employment disputes and legal challenges, organised practical assistance and hand-delivered millions of flyers to households throughout New Zealand.
We did this while facing censorship, public vilification and government surveillance. Official records obtained since have confirmed that our activities and communications were being monitored and reported on.
Our volunteers gave everything they could to help people who had been abandoned by the institutions meant to protect them.
And now the University of Sydney wants to hold up the woman responsible for overseeing this period as a shining example of empathy and social cohesion?
It is sickening.
Professor Scott, did anyone at your university bother to speak with the people whose lives were destroyed under Ardern's leadership before celebrating her appointment?
Have you spoken to the former nurses, teachers and police officers who lost their careers? The families who lost their homes? The people still suffering from vaccine injuries? The parents whose children no longer speak to them?
Or did you simply swallow the carefully cultivated international image of Saint Jacinda, the compassionate leader who saved New Zealand?
I wonder whether you have considered why this internationally celebrated former prime minister now lives in Australia rather than the country she once led. The depth of hostility towards her among many New Zealanders should give you pause.
Because I can assure you, there is another side to that story. And there are hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders who live with the consequences.
I have no objection to universities studying Ardern's leadership. In fact, I would encourage it. There is an enormous amount to learn from what happened in New Zealand between 2021 and 2023. Like, what not to do...
But presenting her as someone uniquely qualified to teach empathy, social cohesion and civic trust, without acknowledging the extraordinary human suffering that occurred under her leadership, is an insult to the people who paid the price.
We were there, Professor Scott. We saw what happened. We picked up the pieces. We are still picking them up.
Some of those people will never recover what they lost.
And the woman who presided over it all gets a professorship in empathy.
What an absolute disgrace.
Yours sincerely,
Alia Bland

These kids are likely similar ages to those who sacrificed so much at war. These kids would curl up in a little ball screaming if they had to go through what Australian soldiers went through.

Congrats on ushering in “Black Mirror” style totalitarianism.
Section 25E(1)(c) makes “material or conduct that encourages or promotes hostile attitudes towards women or gender equality” a harm platforms must keep from every user they can’t prove is an adult.
Section 25E(1)(f) adds “any other material or conduct ... that may cause serious harm to children.”
And your team added in the bill labeling the encouraging of someone to “take their own life” as “seriously harmful” — I take it that's so you can censor people who wish you dead — except “in the context of voluntary assisted dying.” Sick.
Oh, and the evidence that your Social Services Minister cited on "Insiders" that it takes “an average of 23 minutes” to be fed “violent misogynistic content” is garbage science. There was a Dublin City University experiment with ten fake accounts on ten phones.
Totalitarianism by the stupid class to prevent anyone from criticizing you. You're an embarassment.

While Belgian media VTMNIEUWS peddles the tired lie that “7.5 million Palestinians have no vote” in Israel’s elections, Israel’s Ambassador to Belgium David Saranga demolished it with one perfect analogy: “That’s like reporting: ‘Elections in Belgium: 18 million Dutch people have no vote.’”
Israeli Arab citizens vote, run for office, and sit in the Knesset like every other Israeli. Palestinians in Judea, Samaria and Gaza are not Israeli citizens. They have their own Palestinian Authority, whose last parliamentary elections were in 2006. Mahmoud Abbas has postponed them yet again, even after promising elections as part of the deals that led France and others to recognize a Palestinian state.
Recognition went ahead. Elections did not.
Facts don’t matter when the script is “Israel bad.” European media keeps recycling the same falsehoods to smear the only democracy in the Middle East while ignoring the actual dictatorship next door.
If you stand with Israel, please share this!
According to Belgian state Nazi-TV, Israel is “depriving” Arab Muslims from Gaza, Lebanon, Jordan and Ramallah of the right to vote in its elections.
Since when do non-citizens have a right to vote in another country’s national elections? Name one Western country that lets foreigners from neighboring states cast ballots for its parliament.
Nearly 2 million Arab citizens of Israel vote and serve in the Israeli parliament. The millions in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Jordan are not Israeli citizens. They never were. They have their own authorities.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas just postponed the Palestinian elections again. Hamas hasn’t held any in 20 years.
Yet Belgian journalists swallow the 7.5 million “Palestinians have no vote” lie and spit it out as if it’s a moral crime. This is not journalism. This is Nazi-style blood libel dressed up as news. Same old hatred, new headline.
Wake up. Stop funding the propaganda. Enough.
Never known @imshin to be in or from Gaza the entire time I have followed her. The videos and information she shares has shown the real truth and not the propaganda Israel's enemies want the sheople to see.
Graft and corruption is accepted practice for Labor governments.
BREAKING: Anthony Albanese has been caught red handed trying to buy off a One Nation MP with a $200k taxpayer funded staffer.
Pauline Hanson immediately shut it down.
Anthony Albanese secretly offered David Farley, the Member for Farrer, an unsolicited Personal Adviser 3 position, worth up to $200,000, in a letter dated 26 October.
Hand delivered to his Parliament House office. Farley never asked for it. No reason was given. It sat completely outside One Nation’s long running request for fair, transparent staffing.
For months One Nation has been demanding an objective, independent process so the Prime Minister doesn’t personally control the resources available to his political opponents.
Albanese ignored those calls.
Then he went behind Pauline Hanson’s back with private meetings he initiated, followed by this side deal.
Pauline Hanson’s response was blunt:
“David did not request this allocation of staff. No reason was provided by the Prime Minister, these actions have left David and One Nation deeply concerned that the government is seeking to use taxpayer funds to exert undue political influence over politicians. We have decided to expose these grubby dealings because the public deserves to know what the Albanese Labor government is doing behind closed doors.”
Farley rejected the offer outright and told the PM that all future talks go through Pauline Hanson.
One Nation will not be bought or divided.
This is the same Prime Minister who has weaponised staffing allocations while stonewalling One Nation’s legitimate requests for equity.
Pauline has stood firm, the PM should not personally control the resources available to those whose job is to scrutinise him.
One Nation will always put Australians first, not Canberra power plays.
Albanese’s office still hasn’t properly explained why the offer was made.
Classic Albanese, control, divide, and hope no one notices.
Pauline Hanson and One Nation just put the public interest ahead of a personal perk.
That’s the difference.

That’s like saying over 41 million Canadians and 17 million Zimbabweans are not allowed to vote in the American elections.
Yes, you’re an idiot.
Only Israeli citizens can vote. Palestinian Arabs are not Israeli citizens. They used to legally be Jordanian citizens up until the late 1970’s when Jordan decided to rescind their citizenships, leaving them stateless. They were Jordanian. They were never Israeli.
Let me know when it sinks in.

Why? Why must there be Aborigines on the board?
Is it so they can more easily install racist practices, as in other hospitals, where Aborigins are given preferential triaging?
This apartheid must end. It's pure racism.
"Professor Calma said institutional racism and a lack of cultural safety routinely caused patients to avoid hospitals or abandon treatments altogether."
So, he's saying doctors and nurses are racist to Aboriginal patients? I call bullshit. Utter bullshit.

Kids are literally being stabbed at Aussie schools & on our streets due to multiculturalism & this is your biggest concern.
You talk about groomers online while Labor provides pornographic material to children at school & run the ‘Safe Schools’ program that was designed by a Pedo.
Kids r*ped in childcare centres, schools, in Government institutions.
LABOR is a FAILED party & Australia is now a FAILED state.
Peak insanity

HUGE MILESTONE REACHED... Labor have lost their lead Federally.
But... can you see the problem here?
Why are the L/NP neck-and-neck, but ON still behind on a Two Party Preferred basis?
Simple... it's because if One Nation candidates are eliminated (as in, a seat comes down to a Labor candidate, or an L/NP candidate as the final two) ON voters do a GOOD JOB of preferencing the L/NP above Labor, and that's what gets the L/NP a lot of their seats.
But when it's the reverse? When a seat comes down to Labor vs a One Nation candidate? Too many of the L/NP voters are actually putting LABOR ABOVE ONE NATION in their preferences!
The difference isn't actually Labor, the difference is the L/NP voters themselves!
If the Labor Party were to win an election... it would be BECAUSE OF L/NP VOTERS.
This is true federally as we see here... but it's ALSO true in the coming Victorian State Election, AND will be even MORE true in the NSW State Election next (for reasons I'll cover closer to that time!)
PREFERENCE DISCIPLINE MATTERS. If you're planning to vote L/NP, or you know people who are, help them understand that what they do with their PREFERENCES might be the difference between whether LABOR get back in, or not.
I said in my Marbles Video for the Vic Election LOWER HOUSE that what matters is the ORDER YOU PUT THE BIG 4:
ONE NATION
L/NP
LABOR
GREENS
OR if you're an L/NP voter:
L/NP
ONE NATION
LABOR
GREENS
If there's a STRONG independent then you need to pay attention to them too, and you can put whatever other parties you like inside that mix, but that ORDER matters. The future of Victoria, and in time, Australia, may depend on it!
