Can Wesley Hufflepuff name his bishop or naw?
509 years ago today (according to the traditional story), Luther challenged a Pope. The resultant cause and effect didn’t start a new church, it reformed the one true catholic church. As Calvin says in his letter to Cardinal Sadoleto: "[N]ot only that our agreement with antiquity is far closer than yours, but that all we have attempted has been to renew that ancient form of the Church… Indeed, in attacking, breaking down, and destroying your kingdom, we are armed not only with the energy of the Divine Word, but with the aid of the holy Fathers also." Orthodox, but not Eastern, catholic, but not Roman.

I write a short piece for Halloween on entertainment, narrative composition, and theology in the NT. It works. Trust me. πŸ”—πŸ‘‡

kuriosaboutthent.substack.co… You'll love reading about Paul's Christology. Here I focus on 1 Cor 8:6 and Paul's manipulation of the Shema to incorporate Jesus. Part 3 will drop next week to conclude my discussion on Paul.

My first Yeshua Cat since being back πŸ₯Ή
Except for it being literally throughout the Bible and entirely Biblical, sure. Try reading the Bible without all of the disinformation you've been fed your entire life. Why did Mary, Martha and Yeshua all weep for Lazarus, if he was happily sitting in Heaven at that moment?

Has there ever been one female "Christian" podcast that doesn't descend into goon/vanity slop or just abject heresy?

Do these people ever tire of lying? The Church's memory is clear about Peter traveling to Rome. The NT doesn't contain everything about the apostles and the Early Church. Maybe learn how we evaluate history before talking, boomer.
Roman Catholics don’t like that none of the churches mentioned in the New Testament were subject to the authority of Rome. Or that Peter is not mentioned in Paul’s letter to the Romans. Or that Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles and Peter the apostle to the Jews.

People like this and even Wesley Hufflepuff don't read primary sources it seems. Debating books of the Bible is ancient. Bishops disagreed in these lists, and no Christian fully rejected the DC. This guy won't read it, but I have a fairly long discussion on the importance of tradition and the dispute of what is Canon on my SubStack. I actually make an argument, unlike this guy who only posts bad opinions. πŸ”— πŸ‘‡
Protestants rightly cite Jerome on the canon as he and every pre-Augustinian Church Father who made a list of canonical books rejected some or all of the apocryphal books as canonical or incapable of establishing doctrine. That Jerome was in error on other issues is irrelevant.

And, he conveniently leaves out how want NT books he considers canon were debated for centuries. Applying his standards, he loses a lot of the NT. He's a clown.

Didn't read the article. Lies about me. Good job, liar πŸ«΅πŸ˜‚
They have been indoctrinated. You won’t change their minds. It will end up in calling you names and a liar. That’s the standard they go by.
