The only think that buys you a reprieve from a tirade an onslaught of barbed vernacular abuse, is you are in Texas. I do not consider Texas to be Murca :)

I do too, but paying $130 for a new battery pisses me off. Have a friend who bought a stihl electric lawnmower…. Both batteries went dead in about two years it was cheaper for her to buy a new lawnmower than the two batteries

We hired a new VP of Engineering who is obsessed with agile methodology.
He called a meeting on his first day and said we need to transition to 2-week development sprints.
He wanted daily stand-ups, retrospective boards, and continuous deployment pipelines.
He wanted us to actually write new code.
I realized immediately that he was an existential threat to my lifestyle.
I let him finish his impassioned speech about workflow velocity.
Then I stood up, walked to the whiteboard, and drew a single horizontal line.
I told him agile sprints are a localized solution for a localized mindset.
I said our infrastructure operates on a Zenith Release Cycle.
He asked what a Zenith Release Cycle was.
I told him it's a holistic, macro-stabilization framework where we observe the system in a state of prolonged stasis.
By not touching the code for 18 months, we allow the legacy dependencies to organically settle.
I told him that deploying bi-weekly updates creates micro-abrasions in our database architecture.
I used the phrase chronological data scarring.
The CEO was in the room and audibly gasped.
He told the new VP that we can't risk chronological data scarring just to satisfy a trendy tech buzzword.
The VP looked at me like I'd just invented a new color.
He was completely paralyzed by the sheer density of my fabricated jargon.
He quietly agreed to adopt the Zenith Release Cycle.
We're officially scheduled to deploy our next update in the third quarter of 2027.
I spent the rest of the afternoon buying things I don't need on Amazon.
Agile is a disease invented by people who want to be punished for their salary.
I refuse to participate in my own suffering.

Burning it down means a violent civil war. "Winning" means maybe only half of your kids are tortured to death. If you're lucky. Maybe all of them get killed. You people should study Yugoslavia and what goes down when the violence gets real.

The strategy is to burn it all down. The more we sit here and think that we can save it, the longer it’s going to take for any real change for our kids.

BTW we're convinced the Jurassic Park illustrators modeled peacocks, not chickens, as their velociraptors.
Their calls are very similar, and their motions are VERY close to the Jurassic Park versions.
They're natural athletes.

As our fren Lowell says:
The Left can't reproduce genetically, so they propagate memetically.
Thus, they FIRST took over the educational system, starting way back with John Dewey et al importing the Prussian school system to America.
The universities were next.

Swiss farmers planted flowers between their crops and watched pest damage drop by over half. The UK is now running the same trial across 15 farms. The reason this works is embarrassingly simple.
A Swiss study on winter wheat found that fields with wildflower strips had 40 to 53% fewer leaf beetle pests than fields without. Crop damage dropped 61%.
The mechanism is simple. Wildflowers feed hoverflies, lacewings, parasitic wasps, ladybugs, and ground beetles. Those insects eat the aphids, beetle larvae, and caterpillars that farmers would otherwise spray for. A few meters of wildflowers hosts an unpaid pest control crew that would jump at the chance to whoop some aphid ass.
In apple orchards where no insecticides had been used for five years, plots with wildflower alleyways had 9.2% damaged fruit. Control plots without flowers had 32.5%.
The UK is now running a five-year trial across 15 farms placing 6-meter flower strips through the middle of fields, not just at the edges, because the beneficial insects can't reach the center of a large field otherwise.
This works the same way in a backyard vegetable garden as it does on a commercial farm. Plant native flowering species near your tomatoes, beans, and squash. The pests still show up, but the predators show up too.
