I have taken a deliberate step, as a responsible citizen, to visit various Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to obtain their respective establishing Acts, mandate documents, and other official publications outlining their roles and responsibilities.
My goal is to understand the mandate of each institution, its level of authority, who is responsible for what, and where its responsibilities begin and end.
I have taken this initiative after realising that, sometimes, we blame the wrong people or institutions for certain failures simply because we do not fully understand how government responsibilities are distributed.
Before we criticise, let us first understand. Before we blame, let us establish who is responsible. And before we demand accountability, let us know where that accountability truly lies.
I believe this journey will make me a more informed citizen, enable me to engage public institutions more constructively, and help me hold the right offices accountable.
After all, you cannot effectively demand accountability from an institution whose mandate you do not understand. 🇺🇬
How safe is the street pilawo we buy, and how much can we trust the people preparing it? 🤔😭
I recently came across a place in Mpererwe where some street pilawo sellers prepare their food, and honestly, what I saw was frightening! 😭
It left me wondering about the hygiene standards these food vendors follow. Are the cooking areas clean? Is the food properly stored and handled? Do they meet the required public health standards?
Street food is affordable and convenient, and many Ugandans depend on it. However, affordability should never come at the expense of our health and safety.
I believe the relevant public health authorities need to pay closer attention to the conditions under which street food is prepared and sold.
The big question is: Are we eating safely, or are we unknowingly putting our health at risk? 🤔

Dear @nwscug , if your field employees cannot cooperate with customers, we shall be forced to act accordingly.
You demand UGX 100,000 in these difficult times, and when a customer decides to pay half while requesting a grace period to clear the balance, there is no understanding or consideration. Instead, your field employee decides to disconnect the water supply!
Why is it that when we experience water shortages, sometimes for an entire week, we remain patient and understanding, yet the same patience and consideration cannot be extended to customers facing financial difficulties? 😭
Customer service should involve understanding, cooperation and giving customers reasonable time to fulfil their obligations.
CC: @mildredtuhaise — Is everything okay?
Which experience are you having with these Kayoola buses? 🇺🇬🚌
They look comfortable and lovely!
If they are indeed designed and manufactured here in Uganda, then we have truly grown as a country. Our engineers deserve appreciation for this milestone. 👏🏽🇺🇬
Uganda is moving forward!

Hon. @NyekoHon , you are truly an inspiration to the youth! 👏🏽
Even after not making it back to Parliament, you never sat back to lament. Instead, you chose to keep working, innovating, and creating value in the agricultural sector.
Your investment in modern poultry farming and the use of biogas as an alternative to charcoal demonstrate innovation, sustainability, and resilience, especially in the wake of the charcoal ban- Hon. @PNyamutoro should visit u soon.
You are a living example that leadership goes beyond holding political office. Keep inspiring the young generation! 🇺🇬👏🏽...

Schools and their management should regulate what is posted on their platforms and the kind of content created by their students. Respect for experience and professionalism still matters!
🇺🇬 ON THE NRM SUCCESSION DEBATE.
For those asking for evidence that President @KagutaMuseveni has endorsed his son, Gen. @mkainerugaba , it is worth noting that the succession question reportedly came up during yesterday’s NRM CEC meeting at State House Entebbe.
According to reports from the meeting, President Museveni presented a paper outlining the qualities he would wish to see in his successor. Some CEC members reportedly argued that Gen. Muhoozi possesses those qualities, including patriotism, Pan-Africanism and a developmental outlook.
However, there is a difference between discussing succession, members expressing support for a potential successor, and the President formally endorsing his son.
So, did President Museveni explicitly endorse Gen. Muhoozi yesterday, or are people interpreting the reported discussions as an endorsement?
Until an official statement or verifiable evidence emerges, that distinction remains important.
The way General @mkainerugaba’s officers are happy upon hearing that he has been endorsed by the president ! 😛🤩🫣😂

Sad!
On the other hand, these are incidents that can be covered by insurance.
For as long as you value your business, always consider insurance like any other cost , just like transport.

SONDA SENTE ZIWELE
Avoid rushing to buy small plots of land from those real estate agents , such as 30ft × 50ft, without first verifying the applicable building regulations.
There are reports of enforcement measures and restrictions affecting construction on certain plots. Before investing your hard-earned money in these estates, consult the relevant authorities at the @ministry_lands and your local physical planning office to confirm whether the land meets the requirements for residential construction.
Don't invest your money blindly and end up with land you cannot develop! Verify first, then buy. ⚠️
