People are forgetting Sony and XB have done this years before Switch 2. Sony and XB did this first and no one said a thing.
Sony and Microsoft have used equivalent systems for years. Many PS5 and Xbox Series discs contain little or no full game data and require a large download (or function essentially as a license). “Code-in-a-box” releases and partial-data discs were already common.

Why not...as long as the game fits and developers choose so, why should it matter that reprints get the whole game in catridge.
