Designed by Donald Ross, who served as the club’s professional from 1909 to 1913, Essex County Club was the sixth member of the @USGA . As Ross’s yellow house is to the left of the second green, the third green is believed to be the oldest green in continuous existence in America. One of, if not the best back nine in the country, the 18th is a downhill Par-4, shaped like an S around two hills. 📸: Seb Giudice

Meadows Valley at Blackwolf Run, the second Kohler course built in 1990, may not be as heralded as its sibling & neighbors, but it’s an extremely fun, diverse public golf experience. Excellent conditions, the greens were in perfect shape & good weekend pace of play. Superb staff!
