Long term rivals players are waiting for a good patch, NOT new content. After 10 full seasons, many of the same pain points, community wide, are still unaddressed. Triple support, poke heroes, dive interactions, or the latest issue, the teamups system, being severely imbalanced. Players want the variety of content to be enabled by the environment of the game. Instead, hard metas have simply persisted. They're too harsh for it to feel satisfying trying to outplay opponents. It's always been best to outpick them. Frankly, while new content has its merits, people want a reason to keep playing it.
