Eastern Europeans who believe they are safe from non-European immigration and the resulting demographic changes are delusional.
Zimbabweans are the third-largest foreign national group in Lublin and the second-largest foreign student group. Prague is 4-5% non-European.
Roughly 200,000 to 400,000 non-Europeans arrived in Eastern Europe in 2025 via legal means (a very rough estimate, since no aggregated official number exists), and this number will likely only increase. The Orbáns and Ficos are no better than the mainstream politicians in Western Europe when it comes to the issue of migration.
“But it is legal migration and the numbers are small, so it’s not an issue” is the same attitude that a lot of people in Western and Central European countries had a few decades ago, and look where we are now. Closing the floodgates once they are open is harder than keeping them shut.
Eastern Europe is undeniably in a way better position demographically compared to Western Europe, but the groundwork for non-European (mass) migration is already being laid in a lot of these countries as well. We are in the same boat, even if these trends unfold in Eastern Europe with a delay of 50 years.

The European Commission announced today which countries are under “migratory pressure” and will be able to send away some of their asylum seekers to other EU states under the “migrant relocation quotas” created by the EU’s new Migration Pact. The countries are:
🇪🇸 Spain
🇮🇹 Italy
🇬🇷 Greece
🇨🇾 Cyprus
These 4 countries will be able to put asylum seekers into a “Solidarity Pool” for 2027 from which migrants will then be relocated in other EU states.
The size of the Solidarity Pool was decided today but the information about it is being kept secret for now.
6 countries were classified as facing a “significant migratory situation” and will be allowed to request from exemptions of receiving quota migrants. Those 6 countries are:

🇭🇷 Croatia
🇦🇹 Austria
🇧🇬 Bulgaria
🇪🇪 Estonia
To receive an exemption, the country’s request has to pass a QMV vote (Qualified Majority Voting) in the Council of the European Union.
Countries which are forced to take part in the Solidarity Pool will either have to take in the number of quota migrants assigned to them by the EU, pay EUR 21 000 for every quota migrant they refuse to receive or send significant resources to help the 4 countries under migratory pressure to handle the situation.
Two countries have refused to take part in the entire new migrant relocation system and its fines. Those two countries are:

🇨🇭 An arson attack by far-left extremists heavily damaged the headquarters of a Swiss firearms manufacturer
A catastrophic fire severely damaged the headquarters and facility of B&T AG in Thun, Switzerland, in the early hours of Thursday, October 29, 2026. No injuries were reported, as the facility was closed at the time.
Authorities have launched a full investigation, with arson the primary focus. Leftist extremist groups have allegedly claimed responsibility.
Online manifestos and political chatter indicate the facility was targeted due to unrest in France and B&T’s production of the GL06 / LBD 40 less-lethal launchers, widely used by European police for riot control.
The company’s exports of weapon systems to Ukraine, along with its less-lethal riot-control launchers, are cited by investigators as the primary motives.
