Day 1/31 - Real Customer Acquisition Journey
If you've been following along with @BulkFormApp , it's no secret I'm deep in the customer acquisition trenches right now.
The product works. The templates are ready. The infrastructure is solid.
Now comes the hardest part: getting people to actually use it.
This is Day 1 of me documenting EVERY single strategy I try.
Today's focus:
- Finish Stripe setup (so I can actually take money lol)
- Send 10 personalized emails
- Reply to 3 Reddit pain points
- Post this update

150+ LinkedIn connections sent.
Hit the weekly limit. Didn't know that was a thing. lol
Here's what I actually did this week:
> Built custom email tracking with Zoho (not paying $50/month when I can code it myself)
> Used Grok to hunt Twitter/Reddit for people complaining about forms right now
> Sent 17 personalized emails to immigration lawyers & payroll specialists
Why only 17? CAN-SPAM laws exist and I'm not trying to get blacklisted. Each email referenced their actual Reddit/Twitter complaint. Specificity > generic pitches.
Too early for conversion metrics - follow-ups still going out. Ask me in 2 weeks.

Anyway, my later approach was that I would send a DM immediately after a person accepted my connection request. Was that working? NOO! lol 😂
BUT
Posting USEFUL and educational content (i.e., articles) around what my SaaS (@BulkFormApp) provides e.g.,

2. Everything You Need to Know About Your P60 (UK Tax Guide 2025/2026): bulkform.app/blog/everything…
etc. check the @BulkFormApp Blog for more actually attracted possible customers and one Payroll Specialist was quite receptive to what I had to say after I slid into her DMs after she had liked my post but I didn't push at all I just said, "Thank you for liking my article" and she said, "It's very good and informative" and she can't wait to read more of my UK stuff. 💡
and that's when it hit me - what I need to do is focus on putting more attractive content out on LinkedIn the way I did on X. The customers will come that way. so that's the new strategy. No more cold DMs.
