Big question about Miller — will he accelerate/intensify investigations against Trump targets? Two former FBI leaders (in a lawsuit last year) said he often issued orders to director Kash Patel. Per @alanfeuer & me in Sept ‘25 nytimes.com/2025/09/10/us/po…

Thank you, Mr. Kushner. Those five principles are important. However, Moscow subscribed to these principles in documents signed in 1975 (Helsinki Final Act) and 1990 (Charter of Paris). The problem isn't agreeing to principles, but Moscow's failure to abide by them. 🧵 /1
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace. Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions. For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace. Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment. We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability. Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments. We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations. Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation. These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace. This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking. We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.

Even though this took me about a solid day of editing I've never had more fun pulling clips for this. Fox News hosts losing their minds and having meltdowns is my favorite type of content!

Can’t say enough about the importance of candidate quality in North Carolina. Candidates who know their communities, fit their districts, and can compete in red territory. And enormous credit to @abreezeclayton and the NC Dem Party for the organizing, leadership, and hard work behind these flips. This is how you build a party that can compete everywhere.

Aaaaaand he's outta there! 🎉 Drew his own district and still lost. That's how sick people (including Rs) are of his and Trump's corruption and underhanded tactics. Now git, Tim - don't let the door hit you!
On the first day of early voting, U.S. Congressman Tim Moore spoke at a conference in Raleigh and said his seat was "not considered competitive" and that he was campaigning "even though I probably wouldn't have to if I didn't want to." He was wrong. wunc.org/politics/2026-11-03…

Wow, a federal judge in Florida mulls possible SANCTIONS over a government press release falsely claiming criminal defendants were foreign nationals. Another Seamus scoop ⬇️
Fascinating things are happening in Florida.

UPDATE IN BERKELEY COUNTY This is unacceptable. Earlier today I was at the Howe Hall polling location doing an interview about a separate problem voters had already faced there. While I was standing there, these young ladies walked in, proud and excited to cast their first vote. Their names weren't on the rolls, and they were turned away. They weren't offered a provisional ballot or any other option, and they had to leave without voting. Two problems at one polling location in one day is a pattern, and it needs answers. No eligible voter should be sent home on Election Day, especially young people casting their very first ballot. When we tell young people their voice matters and then shut the door on them at the polls, we break their trust. I'm proud of these young ladies for showing up, and I'm not letting this go. We're pushing for answers and working to make it right.

Patrick Stewart, who died today at 86, became Professor X and Captain Picard. As a boy, he watched his father beat his mother, and heard the doctors who came to help tell her it was her own fault. In the video below, a woman thanks him for helping her survive her own abuse, and his answer brings the whole room to its feet. He grew up in a poor mill town in England. His father came home from World War II a different man and turned his violence on Patrick's mother. Every time the doctors and ambulance men came, they told her she must have provoked him, that it takes two to make an argument. Decades later, Stewart learned from his father's war records that he had been suffering from severe shell shock that was never treated. So he spent the rest of his life working for two charities: one for abused women, in his mother's name, and one for traumatized soldiers, in his father's. He could have spent his life hating his father. Instead, he spent it helping others. Is that the kind of legacy that matters more than fame?
