Why working with a Sport Psychologist can be a game changer 🥇 After seeing some confusion around what sport psychology can do for performers, I recently I wrote a brief article exploring why it can be so helpful for some athletes. Give it a read here⬇️ abbottsportpsy.com/post/why-…

F1 Academy Discover Your Drive is making change in karting. In our first year working with Champions of the Future Academy Program, we’ve seen a 25% increase in female participation, with 9 female drivers supported by F1 Academy Discover Your Drive this season. And in our collaboration with @ourmotorsportuk and @karting, our F1 Academy Discover Your Drive Karting UK programme has resulted in a 265% increase in females qualifying for the British Indoor Karting Championships. F1 Academy is identifying the next generation of female talent on track and breaking down barriers to racing 🏁 Do you want to get involved? For more information on both initiatives, head to the F1 Academy website #F1Academy #F1AcademyDYD

🇧🇷🗣️ Richarlison opens up on mental health... "I'd just played in a World Cup, man, at my peak, I was reaching my limit, you know?" "I don't know, I'm not going to talk about killing myself, but I was in a depression there, and I wanted to give up." "Even I, who seemed to be mentally strong. After the World Cup it seemed like it all fell apart." "I think the therapist, like it or not, saved me, saved my life. I only thought rubbish... Even on Google, I only searched for rubbish, I only wanted to see rubbish about death." "Today I can say, look for a psychologist, if you need a psychologist, look for one because it's nice for you to open up like that, for you to be talking to the person... because it is very important and, whether we like it or not, it saves lives." (ESPN) Well done for speaking out, @richarlison97. Such an important topic. ❤️

Sergio Pérez opens up about dealing with mental health in Formula 1: “Formula 1 is my sport, my life, my passion. Then when you're having such a hard time with your work, it's hard to be happy at home with your wife and children. That's why I hired a mental coach because my family deserves to have that cheerful father at home.” “Together with my coach I started working to become the best version of myself at home, but also as a driver. As a result, I have regained the positivity. I am now 33 years old, but I am still learning every day. On the track, but certainly outside. Partly because of this, I will never get enough of Formula 1. It's really amazing what this sport still gives me.” #F1

Love this from Max Homa but even more so from his caddy🏌🏻 “I don’t think anything is wrong with you, I think that your next step is you need to control what’s going on in your head.” Perfect example of how you can use a sport psychologist & where we often do the best work🧠💯
