Emanuel Navarrete vs O’Shaquie Foster 🥊 3 world titles, two radically different interpretations of the sweet science. Emanuel Navarrete fights like a made man in 1950’s Las Vegas. For years, he’s been skimming from boxing’s casinos, bending every rule of sound mechanics, reaching recklessly over his front foot farther than Dhalism, throwing punches from positions that defy boxing logic, leaving his chin exposed and his balance compromised. And somehow, instead of getting caught, he’s been leaving the casino with championship belts and suitcases full of cash. But Saturday night, he may discover that O’Shaquie Foster isn’t another casino owner. Shock is the forensic accountant who’s been studying the books. He knows exactly where Navarrete’s balance goes missing, which punches leave his chin unaccounted for and how long it takes him to recover his feet after overextending. El Vaquero: The genius of disorder There’s a tendency to mistake Navarrete’s awkwardness for a lack of sophistication. I think that’s a mistake. Navarrete understands something important about physical combat: an opponent cannot defend against a rhythm he can’t identify. His punches don’t arrive along conventional flight paths. The FAA has tried banning him. They come from strange heights, strange distances and occasionally, from body positions that seem physically incompatible with throwing an effective punch. He’ll reach over that lead foot and hit you from a distance where you thought you were safe. He’ll sling a shot around the guard, then attack downstairs before you’ve figured out where the first punch originated. It’s almost like trying to play chess against somebody who keeps introducing pieces you’ve never seen before. You know the rules, he just doesn’t seem interested in obeying them. And the punishment accumulates. Navarrete isn’t a Julian Jackson-type puncher who erases your consciousness with one perfectly placed shot. His danger is more corrosive. The volume, the body punching, the uncomfortable angles, the repeated physical demands of defending yourself against a man who refuses to stop coming. Nav doesn't demolish the building with one perfectly placed explosive, he’ll drive a bulldozer through the lobby, knock out 3 supporting walls by accident, reverse over the rubble and keep going until the entire structure comes down 😂 And once he senses that collapse beginning, he’s a vicious finisher. But here’s the problem. Navarrete’s awkwardness is both his greatest weapon and his most exploitable weakness. He throws punches from angles that make no damn sense, often leaning so far over his front foot that his balance is severely compromised. Against most opponents, that unpredictability creates confusion. Against a counterpuncher with Foster’s eyes, timing and intelligence, those same unorthodox movements can become very dangerous. Shock Foster: A different kind of intelligence I consider O’Shaquie Foster one of the premier boxing tacticians operating today. Not simply because he’s fast, although the hand-speed advantage here should be substantial. Not simply because he has excellent feet, although I believe his mobility will be instrumental. It’s because Shock’s boxing iq is among the highest in the sport and he has a tremendous ability to make in-fight adjustments. Foster can conduct that audit while the casino is still open for business. If the numbers don’t add up in the early rounds, he’ll change his approach, examine a different part of the operation and find another way in. Navarrete may spend the first few rounds thinking he’s getting away with murder, only to discover by the halfway point that Foster has already figured out the entire racket. #NavarreteFoster #GonzalezVasquez #MartinZaina #NavarroMoreno #DavisFaccio #CortezMontoya #Boxing #Boxeo #BettingPicks

Thought Alberto Puello pulled it out, 116-112, but a few difficult-to-score rounds over the last half. Same score as one of the judges. No issue with Dalton Smith earning the split decision. Puello is an awkward, crafty boxer and Smith will gain valuable experience. Compelling title fight from UK. 🥊

I had Alberto Puello winning but didn't expect him to get the nod. Close (and uneventful) enough to where doubtful they go against Smith in his hometown. Split decision to Dalton, WBC belt stays home #SmithPuello

The fight unfolded almost exactly as I anticipated. I scored it 116-112 for Alberto Puello and I wouldn’t argue with 115–113 in his favor. But 7 rounds for Dalton Smith? I watched 12 rounds of boxing and I simply couldn’t find 7 that belonged to the Englishman. I’m disappointed by the decision, but I’m not surprised by it. I raised this exact concern in my breakdown. Puello was entering Sheffield as the visiting fighter, against a newly crowned British champion, on a promotion invested in Smith’s future. The burden on Puello to win close rounds was always going to be considerably heavier than the burden on Smith. And I firmly believe that if you take this exact fight, with the exact same punches and move it outside the United Kingdom, Alberto Puello is leaving the ring with the belt. What bothers me most is what this means for Puello’s career. I thought he deserved the decision against Subriel Matías, too. Now, once again, I believe he’s done enough to win a major fight, only to watch somebody else’s hand get raised. There are fighters whose reputations are built by the boxing establishment and there are fighters whose performances have to overcome it. Puello belongs to the latter. He doesn’t have the commercial machinery, the enormous fan base or the promotional influence that can turn a debatable round into a favorable one. His style is subtle, his personality understated and his brilliance doesn’t always announce itself in a language that sells tickets. But none of that should matter when three judges sit down to score a fight. In my eyes, Alberto Puello should still be undefeated. Instead, he’s carrying losses on his record that tell a very different story from the one I’ve watched unfold inside the ring. And that’s one of boxing’s great injustices: the record books remember the verdict. They don’t remember how difficult it was for the better fighter to get a fair hearing. #SmithPuello #VisioliHughes #RyanDolan #HardyRuiz #HaydenHarrison #Boxing #Boxeo #BettingPicks
🚨 Upset Alert (+275) Dalton Smith vs Alberto Puello 🥊 Have you ever see a man walk into a cathedral during Sunday Mass, George Jefferson walk straight up to the altar and tell the priest, “MAN, WATCH OUT! THAT CROWN BELONGS TO ME!”? That’s Alberto Puello going into Sheffield. Think about the Polaroid. 12k people screaming for Dalton Smith. Dem Union Jacks being waived around proudly. The hometown hero walking into that ring with a world championship around his waist, Eddie Hearn practically measuring him for the next statue in Tudor Square. And then walks in this Dominican. A southpaw slickster, with those long arms and wiry frame. Manin ain’t come to England to admire the architecture or all jewels they stole out of Africa. He came to commit grand larceny in broad day, in front of the Royal Family. And he’s not bringing a crowbar or a sledgehammer. He's bringing a set of surgical instruments to a demolition site. Because Dalton Smith wants to break shit. He wants to plant those feet, turn his hips and put all his weight into those shots. Puello wants to make Dalton punch at memories, shadows…at places where a man used to be. And somewhere between the roar of Sheffield and the silence of a punch that misses by 6 inches, we're gonna find out whether Dalton Smith can think with the same authority that he punches. Because Puello isn't coming to trade gunfire with em, he’s coming to make Dalton question his own eyes. To make him see openings that disappear the moment he pulls the trigger. And there's nothing more dangerous to a puncher than the moment he stops trusting what he sees and starts swinging at what he hopes is there. #SmithPuello #VisioliHughes #RyanDolan #HardyRuiz #HaydenHarrison #Boxing #Boxeo #BettingPicks

Can Dalton consistently find a moving southpaw who refuses to stand in front of him? Can he generate power when he's constantly being turned? Can he stay disciplined when the punches he wants aren't available? And can he win rounds without relying on the big moments? Matias tested Dalton's courage, his chin and his punching power. Puello's gonna test his patience, discipline and his ability to think when the answer isn't standing right in front of him. That’s why I believe Puello's deeper championship experience matters. How I see the fight unfolding.. I expect Puello to begin quickly. He has to. He can’t spend 3 rounds studying Dalton while the hometown champion builds a lead and the crowd starts celebrating every exchange. I want the Dominican establishing his jab, stepping around that lead foot, touching the body and forcing Smith to reset. And when Smith gets frustrated and starts loading up - that’s when Puello has to become particularly sharp. You make him miss, you make him reach. You make him throw the right hand from too far away. Then you come straight down the middle and remind him why he should have been more patient. I expect Dalton to have his moments. He's good. He'll land some thumpers. He'll try to trap Puello and force exchanges at midrange. And if Alberto gets predictable circling in one direction, that lead hook could become a serious problem. Puello has to vary the exits. Sometimes, step out. Sometimes, hold his ground long enough to counter. Sometimes, attack first. You can't let Smith memorize the route because once he knows where you're going he's got the power to bring the whole plane down. I believe Puello's hand speed, feet, defense and versatility give him more ways to win individual exchanges, but those advantages only matter if he turns them into unmistakable scoring moments.

My prediction Alberto Puello wins via decision (+275) I think he's the more complete boxer. I think he's fought a greater variety of elite styles. And I believe he has the technical tools to exploit Smith's tendency to load up, lean forward and struggle when opponents refuse to stay in front of him. My biggest concern isn't Puello's ability to win the fight. It's his ability to win it CLEARLY ENOUGH that nobody can take the decision away from him. Safest bet - FTGD (-275 and using it to anchor a parlay) And I'll finish with this…. One man has the power, the crowd and the promotional momentum. The other has the experience, the superior movement and what I believe is the deeper collection of boxing skills. But Puello has to understand something from the moment that first bell rings - you can't go into Sheffield and leave the judges squinting at the evidence like three detectives trying to solve a murder with no fingerprints. Make your case so emphatically that even the people who came to celebrate Dalton Smith have to look at one another and admit what they're seeing. Make the evidence so overwhelming that denying him becomes an international incident. I'm taking La Avispa to sting the hometown champion and reclaim his crown 👑 🥊

The danger of confusing movement with winning Here’s where I think Foster has to be careful… San Antonio is going to be a wild environment. Navarrete is a Mexican champion with an exciting, aggressive style and I expect his supporters to be extremely vocal. When he starts throwing those long combinations, the building will explode whether the punches land cleanly or not. That’s important to remember. Judges are supposed to score effective punching, not the emotional reaction of the people purchasing the tickets. But fighters would be foolish to pretend that scorecards aren’t affected by the optics of a fight. Foster cannot box for 12 twelve rounds by simply making Navarrete miss while forgetting to make him pay. There’s a significant difference between controlling distance and merely maintaining distance. If Navarrete throws 6 punches, lands one and Foster responds with a solitary jab before disappearing, that may be a technically successful defensive sequence. But repeat that often enough and you create rounds that can become uncomfortable on the scorecards. I want Foster’s defense to have an offensive consequence. Make Navarrete miss 2, then land 3. Make him fall over that front foot and punish him before he can recover his posture. Don’t just demonstrate that Navarrete can’t hit you, show the world the cost of trying. That’s how you win rounds decisively against a high-volume pressure fighter. And that’s how you begin taking the crowd out of the equation. Can Navarrete change the fight? No doubt. And this is why I’m not treating Foster as some overwhelming favorite. Navarrete’s body punching is a genuine concern. He understands that a mobile opponent is often most vulnerable when you force him to work at a pace he hasn’t chosen. He’ll want to make Foster expend energy constantly. Chase him toward the ropes, invest downstairs, keep his hands moving and gradually turn a contest of reflexes into a contest of endurance. And his conditioning appears to have improved, thanks to finally adding a nutritionist to his team. If Foster begins spending too much time standing directly in front of him, Navarrete can turn the fight into the kind of extended physical brawl that has made him a world champion across 3 weight divisions. There’s also the question of Foster’s offensive restraint. He’s occasionally content doing just enough. Against Navarrete, that can be dangerous. Foster doesn’t have to match Navarrete punch for punch. That would be foolish. But the disparity in activity cannot become so pronounced that the judges are forced to choose between Navarrete’s sustained aggression and Foster’s occasional moments of brilliance. The answer is controlled, consistent counterattacks. #NavarreteFoster #GonzalezVasquez #MartinZaina #NavarroMoreno #DavisFaccio #CortezMontoya #Boxing #Boxeo #BettingPicks

How I see the fight unfolding… I expect Navarrete to come forward early, testing whether Foster’s jab has enough of that Houston shxt to discourage em. And frankly, I don’t think the jab alone will discourage him. Navarrete has too much confidence, too much experience and too much faith in his ability to overwhelm opponents with volume. He’ll walk through some of those shots. But the difference will come when he starts reaching. That’s when Foster’s hand speed should become glaring. I envision Navarrete launching one of those long, awkward attacks, his head way over his front foot, and Foster taking a short step or two backward before driving a clean left hand through the opening. Then another exchange where Foster pivots, makes Navarrete turn and catches him before his feet are properly organized. And another. Eventually, Navarrete will discover that every attempt to force a bar fight is producing disastrous results. I don’t believe Foster needs to hurt Navarrete badly to win this fight, but I wouldn’t rule out a knockdown. Not because Foster is a devastating puncher, but because balance matters enormously when you’re absorbing a shot you haven’t properly prepared to receive. Navarrete constantly overextends himself and Shock has the timing to take advantage. Final Prediction: Navarrete has spent years running one of boxing’s most lucrative rackets. Like the mobsters who skimmed millions from Las Vegas casinos, he’s gotten rich exploiting weaknesses in a system that was supposed to punish him for it. The difference is that those old Vegas operations were built to fool yesterday’s surveillance. O’Shaquie Foster is bringing 21st century technology to a 1950’s casino. His eyes are high-definition cameras with a 125x optical zoom. His reflexes are motion sensors. His boxing IQ is the surveillance team that can spot a suspicious transaction before the money ever leaves the counting room. Every time Navarrete reaches too far, squares his feet or leaves his chin exposed, another discrepancy appears on the screen. And Foster’s greatest asset? He can upgrade the surveillance system in the middle of the investigation. If one camera angle isn’t catching the operation, he finds another. If Navarrete changes the scheme, Foster adjusts the coverage. For years, Vaquero has been getting away with the skim because nobody could catch him in the act. Saturday night, I think Shock catches him on camera and makes him pay for every dollar. I’m taking ⚡️ to win on points at +100 🥊 #NavarreteFoster #GonzalezVasquez #MartinZaina #NavarroMoreno #DavisFaccio #CortezMontoya #Boxing #Boxeo #BettingPicks
