😭😭 Looks like all 3 Throne Labs pilot program bathrooms in Queens are called "Mamdani Toilet" on Google Maps.

Two federal agents are going door to door near the crime scene “trying to get evidence.” Darializa Avila Chevalier and state Sen. Gustavo Rivera are following them to tell people they don’t have to answer or speak with the agents.
Thanks to you & many others who covered the many perspectives within the NW Bronx & throughout the rest of the borough. So many OG organizers work covered by the Norwood News: Al Chapman, Heidi Hynes, & Hilda Chavis to name a few. Hopefully all these stories can be preserved.
It's official -- another community newspaper with a storied history is finished.
What's worse is that it's in the Bronx -- a borough with some impoverished sections that could be made worse thanks to a lack of news.
It's a borough with a share of big issues to address but so few newspapers to share them with.
I was proud to have been part of the history of this newspaper. It's included in this pantheon of great moments in my career.

65 years old and I’ve never been in better shape!
A few years before I became Mayor, diabetes nearly cost me my eyesight. I changed my diet, changed my lifestyle, and changed my life.
Now my son and I have a competition to see who will be in the best shape of our lives by our Virgo birthdays.
I’m going to win, Jordan. 😂
My secret weapon: VEGGIES. 🥒🫑
This photo isn’t about showing off (okay, maybe a little bit of that too). It’s about showing what’s possible when you take control of your health.
Eat your vegetables!

oh no based unionist Cody Bellinger I will have to not hate you
The Mets should be given an automatic victory. We need the wins.
Sources: The Red Sox are still in Chicago.
The plan remains for them to play the Mets tonight … but they need to make it to New York first.

I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
After 3 years, a version of CityFHEPS expansion, my first campaign victory at VOCAL-NY is being implemented.
Sports Gods have decided that it's time to balance the scales. NY was blessed with a Knicks chip, now all other teams must suffer. #Mets
Grateful that many Council Members are continuing the fight for homeless New Yorkers. Our Homelessness Union leaders have fought this fight for 3 years. We need more ppl to question the unsustainability of keeping ppl warehoused with no pathways out of homelessness.
We're simultaneously fighting for housing that's actually affordable but isn't being built fast enough. Vacancies in supportive and public housing that aren't coming online as fast. We have a coalition that's called Homes Can't Wait b/c of the severity of the crisis.

With this budget, we have to invest in the support systems that keep our most vulnerable neighbors housed. CityFHEPS protects our most vulnerable residents and reduces strains on public systems. Investing in stable housing is an investment in a stronger New York for everyone.
STATEMENT: The New York City Council Progressive Caucus issues the following statement in relation to the need to fund the critical tenant protection program CityFHEPS in the FY27 budget:
ALT City Hall — The New York City Council Progressive Caucus issues the following statement in relation to the need to fund the critical tenant protection program CityFHEPS in the FY27 budget: “We stand committed to further funding for CityFHEPS in the FY27 budget. Every day that this program remains unexpanded, New Yorkers are forced out of homes, unable to keep up with ballooning rent. Our members have fought tirelessly to ensure this vital program reaches vulnerable tenants. We recognize this has been an extremely challenging year following Mayor Adams’ fiscal mismanagement and appreciate Mayor Mamdani and Speaker Menin’s work to close the deficit. But it remains short of what New Yorkers need. We urge the Speaker and Mayor to ensure that a balanced budget does not rest on the backs of New Yorkers grappling with an historic affordability crisis. We need to see movement to fund this critical program before the handshake.” ###
