how does art you call โbadโ suddenly have the power to ruin your success? Itโs rubbish when you judge it, but a market killer when you explain your sales?
Weโve all seen bad artโฆ.scrolled past it. Are we then meant to stop, write a speech, and report it for stealing my future?
For 40 cents, thatโs one hell of a villain.
On a serious noteโฆ
For me, good curation helps people find art they might loveโฆbut nowadays it seems like showing the same 10 friends and calling that โquality.โ
Collectors need a feed worth browsing. Artists need a fair chance to be found. Filters for bulk uploads and fake activity would help more than arguing over which tools count as art.
And keeping onchain art alive takes more than uploads. Buy something. Talk about it. Help someone discover an artist.
weโve got enough people guarding the door. Someone needs to make the place worth entering
"Imagine thinking someone's art is so bad that it ruined your chances to be successful." - A defender of 40 cent AI spam
So, some of you noticed, someone dropped this in my replies the other day and completely missed the point.
I'm not trying to compete with anyone. I'm just a collector who's been buying NFTs for years. The high volume, 40 cent AI spam and self bidding loops didn't ruin my chances of anything. It ruined the browsing feed for multiple collectors who bought art for what it meant to them, buried really cool creators who put actual effort into their work, and drained platform utility until places like Foundation couldn't survive. When discovery breaks, real buyers stop logging in.
Now, I want to hear how other people view this quote.
So, here is a challange for you all.
Quote tweet this with your own take on it. In 72 hours, whichever quote tweet gets the most engagement, (Ill comment on yours) You can mint a screenshot of your post and I'll buy it for 0.05 ETH.
I want to actually talk with you all about platform curation, real collector experience, and what keeps on chain art alive in the web3 space.

It will be hell like our generation hasn't experienced.

The ladder under her feet, the dirt on her boots, all of it feels groundedโฆ but her eyes are full of life, like sheโs teasing the sun itself.Thereโs a soft freedom floating in the air,the kind that feels like the smell of wet soil after rain

ALT Inspired by Melancholia, the masterpiece by Lars von Trier, and โOutroโ by M83. What if the end of the world wasn't a moment of fear, but one of strange and unbearable beauty? Beneath the shadow of an approaching celestial body, a solitary tree stands in silence. A tiny human witness remains, facing something far greater than themselves. There is nowhere left to escape. Nothing left to change. Only the universe, its final embrace, and the quiet acceptance of the inevitable. Some endings are too beautiful to look away from. Music is part of the artwork. Scan the QR code embedded in the piece to listen to โOutroโ by M83 โ the music that helped bring this vision to life. Created with Procreate by Amorphous.
