Steam Decks discontinued. Phil Spencer retiring. Next gen consoles being delayed. Bluepoint shuttered by Sony. Things are not looking good.

The fact that the game industry is looking at $1,000+ consoles and $100 games is just going to kill it. Good thing we have decades of great games to fall back on.

Still enjoying the hell out of #MetroidPrime4 . The game has its flaws - as most do - but it's honestly what I've been looking for.

I completely agree with this, actually. I did come around a bit on Episode VIII, but regardless, Episode VII was a solid return to form for the franchise.

I know there's been a lot of discourse about it online... but I'm really enjoying #MetroidPrime4 .

If my console ever dies I am not spending $700+ to replace a machine I initially got for $500. Get all the way fucked.

I'm not sure why Hollywood is so insistent on always remaking movies... but doing them worse. Just... stop already. We didn't need Total Recall. We didn't need The Running Man. We certainly don't need Cliffhanger.

I've thoroughly been an #Xbox guy for a long, long time. It's easy to justify a lot of the moves they've made over the course of time... but acquiring so much just to end up laying so many off? So incredibly disappointing.

Oh. Now people are mad at fizzy beer bottle bubbles in #GTAVI because it will ruin the gaming industry. Jesus, you lot are exhausting.

Nintendo are being very bold with their aggressive game pricing and becoming wildly unfriendly to consumers, even more so than usual.

While I love #OblivionRemastered , people saying that remasters is a great way for Bethesda to get back on track is... weird to me. It should be supplemental, not what keeps them 'on track'.

Hi @Target . If you want to get my money again, maybe your stores should stop being so lazy when it comes to finding stock. Or, update your inventory tracker online. Time and time again, I order store pickup, they can’t find the item, I go into the store and item is there. 🤷‍♂️

Oh, boy. More console war rhetoric is making the rounds. Buy the platform you want. Play the games you want on it. Don’t make this your entire personality and be a dick to everyone that makes a choice that’s different from yours.

A lot of discourse about studios wanting games to be $80 or more. Industry: Dial in your spending. What’s to blame are the tacked on game modes we don’t want/need, the -millions- flushed on canceled games, and failure to maintain reasonable budgeting in general. Do. Better.

I have been saying this exact sentiment for a long time. Games cost too much to make? Pull in the budget. Stop cancelling projects after millions and millions have been made.
