New research finds most Americans believe a strong U.S. EV manufacturing industry is important for the U.S. economy.
According to a new Veloz poll, 60% of Americans say that the results of the November election had no impact on their interest in getting an electric vehicle (EV).
The poll also unveils Americans' EV perceptions post-election, including the importance of EV purchase incentives and accelerating U.S. manufacturing.

.@EPA’s 50th Automotive Trends Report highlights record-high fuel economy & record-low GHG emissions for MY 2023 vehicles. With EVs & PHEVs reducing CO2 by 11%, this milestone shows the impact of #ZeroEmissions tech in building a sustainable, low-carbon future.
LCFS has cut pollution and increased options for fuel consumers. Opponents of the Board’s updated standards have recently made spurious claims.
To be clear, the amendment adopted on Friday does not kick in any automatic price increase – that is not how the rule works.
An additional consumer protection was put in place on Friday by the Board — directing staff to monitor unexpected gas price impacts and come back with program adjustments if concerns about price increases linked to LCFS do materialize.
The report will be published annually and publicly available. This will help inform Californians, and increase transparency and accountability into fuel producers and costs they pass down to consumers.

There’s been a lot of confusion about the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) program that @AirResources will be voting on this week.
Created by Gov. Schwarzenegger in 2009, it’s made CA a leader in cleaner fuels to protect against pollution. But it does a lot more than that! 🧵
