Most Mac cleanup tools make you choose what to delete, while TwinFold takes a different route. I scanned one of my dev folders and it says I could reclaim about 1 GB without removing the files themselves. @himanshutwtxs uses APFS clones so identical copies can share the same disk data while your projects keep working normally. I found this genuinely clever, especially for dev folders full of repeated node_modules and environments. My main friction was the macOS security warning since the app isn’t notarized yet. I’d improve that first-run guidance imo.
Scan your Mac. Find the twins. Scan a folder with TwinFold by @himanshutwtxs, share how much space it says you could free, then add your honest take. Join 👉 testdrive.so/campaigns/twinf…

Tried Sidefleet and sent a small coding task from my browser straight to Codex running on my own machine. The local agent workflow is the part that clicked for me. I could kick off work remotely without needing to sit in front of my computer. Setup took a little figuring out at first, but once connected, the actual task was seamless. The only thing I’d improve is making the connection/status state more obvious so you always know when your machine is ready to receive a task. Kudos @marklaunches.
I turned my old computers into a fleet of coding agents. Start a task in Claude, hand it to Kimi, move it to another machine. Spawn jobs in parallel. Check in from your phone. Bring your fleet → sidefleet.xyz

TL;DR: @bittensor just made subnet registration cheaper, while survival harder. In 2026, registering a subnet cost an average of 638 TAO (~$159K), peaking at 2,633 TAO (~$796K) in May. But the October 13th change reshaped subnet economics. >> Here's what changed: 1) Registration price decay: Reduced from 8 days to 4 days, allowing prices to fall faster toward the 1 $TAO floor. 2) Lower entry costs: Latest registration cost is just 224.64 TAO, roughly one-third of the 2026 average. 3) Subnet immunity: Reduced from 120 to 60 days, giving new subnets less time before facing deregistration risk. 4) Faster turnover: With all 128 slots occupied, the lowest-priced eligible subnet (based on 1-day EMA) risks replacement when a new subnet registers. >> My takeaway from this: #Bittensor is lowering the financial barrier to entry while raising the pressure to deliver real value. More opportunities for smaller teams, but less room for underperforming subnets. While it's getting easier to launch a subnet, keeping one alive is much harder.
The cost of doing business on Bittensor this year was getting steep. In fact, the average TAO price of registering a subnet in 2026 was 638 TAO, or around $159,000 at the time of each registration. • The peak was 2,633 TAO (about $796K at the time) on May 8. • New teams would either need to be well funded from Bittensor fund or get fundraised by someone like @bitstarterAI to have a chance to start their own subnet. On October 13th the stakes changed. Prior to this change, it took 8 days for a subnet price to reach the price it was prior to the current registration. This meant a flurry of registrations could keep the price high for over a week, pricing out smaller teams. • That time is now cut in half, and the prior price only takes 4 days to be reached. • Theoretically, if a subnet registration does not take place 4 days after the last price is reached, the 1 TAO floor is then reached. Now, with this change, the latest registration price was 224.64 TAO, about a third of the average TAO price this year. This makes acquiring a subnet a lot more attainable and affordable for aspiring teams. Another change that was made was the immunity period for new subnets. Immunity is the state of being safe from being deregistered from the chain. • The prior immunity period was 120 days. Now it is 60 days. • This change puts new subnet's feet to the fire and forces them to be productive projects on the network sooner rather than later. • At 60 days, a young subnet's price matters as much as what it has built. Since all 128 subnet slots are full, the lowest priced subnet on roughly a 1-day EMA, that does not have immunity, will be deregistered when someone pays the current registration price for a subnet. What are the consequences of these changes? • Subnet registration entries are now cheaper, but turnover is much faster. • Younger subnets with weak prices and very low liquidity carry even more risk than before. It's rarely been easier to acquire a subnet, but it's never been harder to stay afloat. The chain, as always, rewards productivity, true value, and acceptance from the TAO holders. The pace has quickened, and the progress continues to accelerate. What are your thoughts on the new changes? Come to Bittensor’s Town Square at the Subnet Summer Telegram group to offer your thoughts!

Crypto Roundup — Key Highlights Date: October 29, 2026 >> Here are 15 updates worthy of note: ➡️ Crypto News 🔹 Bitcoin — $BTC is trading around $80.2K, despite U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording $423.6M in net inflows across three consecutive sessions. BlackRock's IBIT accounted for $136M of the $137.3M inflows recorded on October 28. 🔹 Institutional ETF Flows — Institutional demand remains selective. While BTC ETFs attracted $423.6M between October 26–28, Ethereum ETFs lost approximately $170.2M, and Solana products recorded $33.1M in withdrawals. 🔹 Federal Reserve — The Fed voted 10–2 to hold interest rates at 3.75%–4.00% on October 28, with two policymakers favouring a 25-basis-point increase. Persistent inflation and the possibility of further tightening continue weighing on crypto markets. 🔹 ⭐️ DTCC / @CantonNetwork — The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation officially launched its Tokenization Service, supporting tokenized securities on Canton Network and a private Besu blockchain. The service has 20 major financial institutions signed up, including JPMorgan, Bank of America, Citi, Morgan Stanley and Fidelity. Approximately $30T worth of securities are eligible for tokenization, although this does not mean $30T has already moved on-chain. 🔹 RWA Tokenization — Tokenized real-world assets reached approximately $34.5B, up 2.92%, with tokenized equities growing to $4.89B and private credit reaching $5.27B. However, daily tokenized equity trading volume declined 39.3% to $317M, showing that asset issuance is growing faster than secondary-market activity. 🔹 Janus Henderson x @centrifuge — Launched JQQQ, a blockchain-native investment fund offering licensed Nasdaq-100 exposure on @StellarOrg. The product expands institutional tokenization beyond Treasuries and money-market funds into equity-index investment products for eligible investors. 🔹 @Ripple / @coinbase (RLUSD) — Coinbase integrated Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin across Coinbase Prime, Exchange and its retail app, supporting deposits and withdrawals through XRP Ledger, Ethereum and Base. $RLUSD has surpassed $2.4B in circulation, strengthening its institutional distribution and settlement infrastructure. 🔹 Stablecoin Market — Total stablecoin supply stands around $305.5B, growing just 0.10% during October. $USDT leads with $183B, followed by $USDC at $72.3B. Stablecoin distribution and institutional integrations are expanding, but aggregate supply growth remains relatively flat. ➡️ Prediction Markets & Perp DEXs 🔹 ⭐️ @RobinhoodCrypto Prediction Markets — Robinhood's Q3 results revealed that event contracts generated $173M in revenue, exceeding its $120M cryptocurrency transaction revenue. Event-contract revenue grew more than 6× YoY, with 16.4B contracts traded during the quarter. Prediction markets are becoming a measurable revenue driver, not just an emerging narrative. 🔹 Robinhood Chain — Robinhood reported over $80B in DEX trading volume and more than $50M in chain fees during its first quarter on mainnet, positioning its blockchain among the leading networks by reported activity. 🔹 @cryptocom / OG.com — Launched regulated crypto perpetual futures for eligible U.S. traders, offering up to 5× leverage and continuous trading. A promotional zero-trading-fee campaign runs through November 26, further intensifying competition in the U.S. derivatives market. 🔹 @HyperliquidX ( $HYPE ) — Perp DEX sector open interest stands around $13.83B, with approximately $19.78B in 24-hour volume and $606.93B over 30 days. Hyperliquid controls roughly 56.6% of sector open interest, while its proposed regulated HIP-3* deployment involving @krakenfx parent @Payward remains an important institutional catalyst, subject to regulatory approval.

➡️ Ecosystem Developments & Alpha 🔹 @Zcash ( $ZEC ) — Zcash's NU7 upgrade is expected around November 5, targeting a reduction in block spacing from 75 to 25 seconds alongside improvements to shielded transaction capacity and network sustainability. Upgrade readiness remains important, particularly for users holding legacy Sprout funds. 🔹 @bittensor ( $TAO ) — Bittensor's recent eTAO upgrade allows subnet owners to configure emission distributions between owners, validators and miners. The changes introduce greater flexibility in subnet economics, making reward allocation, miner incentives and real commercial performance increasingly important for evaluating subnet investments. ➡️ Global News & Macro 🔹 ⭐️ U.S. Inflation / GDP — September PCE inflation and advance Q3 GDP figures are scheduled for release today, October 29, at 1:30 PM WAT. The reports could influence expectations for the Fed's December meeting and determine whether $BTC sustains its recovery or faces further selling pressure. ➡️ Market Outlook Bitcoin remains in defensive consolidation around $80K despite positive institutional ETF flows. The immediate levels to monitor are $81.4K–$82.5K for recovery confirmation and $78K–$79K for downside risk. Beyond BTC, the strongest structural developments are emerging across institutional tokenization, regulated stablecoins, prediction markets and perpetual trading infrastructure. The key question for investors is no longer simply which blockchain is attracting institutional attention, but which protocols are translating adoption into measurable revenue, activity and token demand. TRADING AS A BUSINESS When people first step into the world of trading, they often overlook a crucial truth: trading is a business. In any traditional business, a return of 35–40% on your investment is considered excellent. Most entrepreneurs would be thrilled to achieve that level of growth, especially when compared to a bank savings account that offers just 5–6% annually. However, when it comes to trading—whether in stocks, commodities, or currencies—the perception shifts. The sight of massive amounts of money moving through the markets often triggers powerful emotions. Instead of aiming for steady, realistic gains over the course of a year, many new traders expect to earn that same 35–40% from a single trade—or even in a single day. This unrealistic mindset is one of the primary reasons so many beginners fail early on. From our perspective, no other business in the world can match the potential of trading. In a typical business, you rely on employees, suppliers, and customers. If an employee doesn’t show up or a supplier fails to deliver, your business suffers. There are always external factors outside of your control. The capital market is different. It’s a unique space where an individual can start with just a small account, a computer, an internet connection, and a willingness to learn—and grow it into something far greater. Beyond financial rewards, trading offers something even more valuable: self-discovery. It’s a journey that challenges you to understand your own psychology, beliefs, and emotional responses, ultimately making you not just a better trader, but a stronger individual.

Just found myself a new Spanish tutor. Tried @lublubxt’s 4ToSpeak and the whole lesson flow was really easy to follow: order the sentence, translate it, listen, then say it out loud. The app is intuitive, simple, and didn’t feel like work at all. I genuinely enjoyed using it to practice Spanish. Now it's time to get myself a Spanish Girl 😌😂

This @perturbaix video aspect ratio slaps more. Learn more about this unique Bittensor project. $TAO #TAO #bittensor
What happens when an AI system confidently makes the wrong decision because of a tiny change humans can barely notice? That's the problem @perturbaix is tackling on Bittensor Subnet 26. Perturb uses AI to challenge other AI models this way: - Miners discover subtle inputs that fool image models. - Validators verify whether those attacks actually work. - Successful miners compete for $TAO rewards. - While verified findings help identify vulnerabilities and support model retraining. For businesses relying on AI-powered identity verification, fraud detection or image analysis, discovering these weaknesses before attackers exploit them could be critical. The idea is pretty simple: Find the weaknesses before attackers do. Image-model testing is already live, with text, LLM, and multimodal testing planned. Watch my explainer to understand how SN26 works. Visit perturbai.io to get started. #PerturbVideo #PerturbVideoCompetition
