Jacket weather this evening, but otherwise it's delightful out there...and very pretty with the late October light this time of the day. This is the 5:07pm view from our Amsterdam Skycamera.

There is, as you would expect, some smoke in the air around the ongoing brush fire along the NY-MA border area between Berlin and New Ashford, MA. It's not enough to cause any widespread air quality issues, unless you're at the immediate fire site itself.

An early look at the weather for Halloween...looks pretty good, mild, light wind, dry

Albany shot up to 71° today, the 3rd time this month the temperature has reached at least 70°.

10 days and counting in the Capital Region with no rain....it's likely we'll go all week with no rain as well...next chance for something meaningful may not come until Sunday night or Monday.

Opportunities for rain this week will come tomorrow and again Friday which will continue to help with the October rainfall deficit that we're running currently in the Capital Region.

Haunted attractions forecast for this weekend - big weekend for the haunted houses and hayrides across the area. Saturday is the day with pleasant dry weather. 60s during the day, 50 to 40s during the evening. We'll have some rain in here Sunday afternoon and evening.
