We appreciate @RepDonBacon for his leadership and work to protect long standing #EnergyTaxCredits! Many in NE02 support and they are important incentives for Nebraska farmers, rural communities and our energy independence. Thank you for truly representing Nebraska!
Today, 12 of my Republican colleagues and I issued a joint statement in response to the Ways and Means Committee’s portion of reconciliation concerning clean energy tax credits. We ask House Leadership to consider 3 thoughtful changes as we move forward. Full statement here:

And is State Farm doing anything to address climate change? No. It is just charging Americans more... Why doesn't State Farm seem to care about the charging the actual polluters that are significant contributors to the stronger storms that cost more to actually insure?
Climate change costs money. It won't affect our wallets somewhere down the line or in the distant future - it's costing everyday Americans now ⬇️

You're right @RepGregMurphy @RepDonBacon others- pushing for #EnergyTaxCredits to remain. These tax incentives have been in place for decades and renewables, battery, nuclear, carbon capture will all be needed to be energy independence & meet the energy demands of our future!

Thank you to NE02's maverick General @RepDonBacon for signing the letter to protect clean energy tax credits. Stay strong on this view - our energy independence, which is intertwined with national security, depends on moving wind, solar, nuclear and battery technology forward.

new kind of dad just dropped: ✨climate dad✨ this is in addition to the traditional options of 1) great wars dad and 2) grill dad should this type of dad appeal to you, you can start now by talking exclusively about heat pumps

YES! That's been CCL's message for years. Giving carbon fee revenue to households is a win-win.
In Canada, 80% households get more money back in rebates than they pay in increased costs due to the carbon price. We often hear about the costs of climate action. Flipping the focus toward the benefits could be a political game-changer. niskanencenter.org/canadas-f…

Of the many important messages today from the IPCC, this stands out. "Every increment of warming results in rapidly escalating hazards." But this also means that efforts to remedy, repair, reduce #climate change matter, one increment at a time.

Heat pumps are 3 TO 5 TIMES MORE EFFICIENT than most current fossil fuel heating systems, because it takes less energy to move heat around than to produce it. Heat pumps work by moving heat from one place to another, not by the burning of fuels. Cleaner air indoor and out!

This is so cool (and warm)! Heat pumps are nearly identical to your traditional air conditioner, except in the winter it operates in reverse-mode, pumping heat from the air outside your home to the inside.
