Coaching is hard. 🧵 Just some general thoughts looking at the list of girls' basketball rosters for the News-Herald coverage area. There are 28 different teams listed...
- The coaches with the longest tenure at their respective schools are in their 14th season (it's my 12th)

We have another district champion as @ChagrinAD Elizabeth Pollock shot 73 to beat the rest of the field and lead the Tigers to a second-place finish.
Chagrin Falls is headed to the state tournament!

That being said, hope this is the launch point for the rest of the @ChagrinAD team. Nice showings from Amelia Ingold (17th; 23:08.0), Clara Thrush (22nd; 23:37.7) and Molly Quigg (23rd; 23:42.2). They have a lot of youth that needs learning points #NHXC

We start the girls Sunday Cooldown with a huge shock to literally nobody, it’s a win for Gabby Byrne at Ashland for @ChagrinAD. She posted a 19:52.0 and remains the lone area girls runner to be sub 20 this year #NHXC
